I remember when I was so excited when I learned about addons and downloaded the first cosmos addon, which really did nothing but add 5 button bars to each side of the screen. This was a few months after release.
Also when I spent the entire open beta getting a hunter to level 14 and I thought it was a huge accomplishment.

I remember wanting to sell a Blood Elf Bandit Mask in Stormwind, and I said in Trade Chat "WTB Blood Elf Bandit Mask". Next thing I get a whisper saying, "I'll sell you it for 30g, its rare ya know." I never replied to that person, lol.

- Like some other people, I stacked items with agility on them to make me run faster. I'd put them on and think hmm, I think I'm running just a little bit faster, maybe if I stack a lot of it then I can run really fast!
- I thought Stormwind was some far-off place that you could only get to from the Sentinell Hill flight path... So when I was in Goldshire and needed to go to Stormwind, I made the run all the way to Sentinell Hill to take the gryphon.
- I thought the only way to get into BGs was to talk to emissaries, and those weren't around all the time, or they were AV/EotS ones which I couldn't get in at a low level. I thought EotS was some uber endgame instance that required lots of rep with EotS
- I thought I would never have to change my Hearthstone from Goldshire. I mean, there's SW right up north, Westfall to the west, and when I'm done, Redridge to the east! ^^ No way!
- I thought people that would strip naked before suiciding were retarded because I thought the 10% applied to the items in your bags too
- I was on a trial account and needed light leather for my goggles, and since I couldn't use the AH, first I ran all the way to the Barrens because I saw some mobs had a high drop rate of light leather. After being frustrated by killing a bunch of them and getting no light leather, I dropped mining and got skinning, but all I could skin near Goldshire was useless ruined leather scraps! I gave up shortly after that. XD
- I didn't know profession levels capped, so I got mad when I was making expensive stuff after having drunk some egg nog in-game. The skill levels weren't going up... so I thought, "Jeez, I'm never going to craft stuff while I'm drunk again..."
- I thought that need/greed meant different types of dice on the same roll, like gambling, if you rolled need you would roll a dice that had a medium range like 40-60 and if you rolled greed you would roll from 1-100. I would keep hitting need until I figured out what they actually meant.
- There was a ?? tauren at sentinell hill killing NPCs, so I hit him with my level 20 fireball. I saw him aiming his gun and started running away, then got one-shotted
- I thought if you turned on PvP you could attack random members of your faction like 'Westfall Woodworker'
- I used symbols to swear because I didn't know you could turn off the filter, so they would come up censored anyway
- When I first entered deadmines, I followed some other group inside and when I was in the instance, I was all alone! I went out and back in, and tried killing the first person inside. He was pretty hard so when he started running away, I thought phew, I'm safe. Next thing you know half the room starts running towards me and I hightail it out of there
- I would run around Northshire "/s how do you change the camera angle?"ing because I knew you could zoom in and out with the wheel, but you would keep looking down towards the ground. After a few levels of dealing with this, a friend told me you could drag the mouse around to change the angle
- When I first rolled a hunter alt, I would spam serpent sting because I thought it did initial damage and then DoT, and wondered why hunters were so mana inefficient and why it didn't do that much damage
- Not me, but a mage friend of mine didn't know there were little tabs in the talent window, so he was specced fully Arcane. I told him about the tabs and he started spreading his points out into all three specs.
Fun times, fun times...
