Depends on how confident you are and how good your healers are. You could probably pull off the first wing of ICC10, but your best bet is some ToC10.

So I've been tanking heroics pretty easily now, my question is what can I tank past heroics?
The only thing I've been running are heroics so my gear is made up entirely of badge gear and a few heroic drops as you can see
here.
Heroics ->
Naxx / os / EoE / VoA (archavon) ->
Ulduar / VoA (emalon)->
TotC / VoA (koralon)->
ICC / new VoA boss
Work down the list there.
Because of that, I don't know what what raids I can tank. Some insight would be appreciated.
Also, I'm over the def cap rating at 552, and I'm thinking I should change my enchants around.
There is no defence cap!
To do:
Buy glyphs!
Enchant all your gear
Stop being bad, there is no excuse for subpar gemming
Level your proffesions
Fix that spec... why isn't it done yet?
Get some raiding experience
The belt and bracers are giving me the most trouble as to how to upgrade them. Saronite swordbreakers run for 1.5k to 1.7k on my server and I don't feel like springing for it. Shield is easy since I'm just farming HoR for it right now.
Thanks in advance.
That price for the bracers is very reasonable, if you won't shell out that much for an upgrade reroll a dps or a DK. 1.5-1.7k is not bad at all for a piece you won't replace for a while.
Belt will be your first frost emblem purchase unless you get lucky between now and then, though i don't see that happening.
p.s. !@#$ the new welfare loot, its bull!@#$ to see a tank with nearly 32k unbuffed who hasn't even done obsidian sanctum or a single naxx boss. /vent

Ok First off 535 for heroics and 540 for Raids are soft caps. There is nothing wrong with stacking more as is helps your other tanking stats. (I.E. dodge and parry)
Also you need to read the topics at the top as this type of topics are flamebait.
Also your are missing a few enchants. Weapon,Feet,Hands. For your problems with the bracers the mats for the most part are easy to farm. Also if you can't get the mats for them then look at the loot tables for Toc 10 or 25 there are some bracers there that are just as good as the crafted ones. Some of the gems are off I can understand the defence gem but the agl. gem on the legs needs to be changed to a purple.
The only solid gems we should stack are blue. Unless we are below the defence soft cap then yellow is ok. Use a Nightmare Tear or Hybrid Green,or Purple if the socket bonus is +6 or so stam.
You need to work on your professions there is alot of stam your missing by not having those maxed.
As for your question reguarding what you should run I would say Toc 10 and down. Maybe Toc 25 if you have a good group but I think your health may cause a little problems towards some of the end bosses.
As for the Icc 10 or 25 don't try to run them till your gear is mostly 232 or higher and you need a unbuffed health pool of 35k+ for 10 and about 37k or 38k for 25. And thats low for some guides standards.

That is very low, my pally is just in welfare epics (see sig) and has 39.4k unbuffed which could be brought up to 40k with some slight tweaking at a minor avoidance loss.

There's really no reason to every gem a red as a tank. Use a agi/stam gem when you want to pick up a socket bonus. Same for pure def gems unless you need it to get above the defense minimum, use a def/stam instead.
I had to socket a red to activate my meta and I figure agility is better than dodge and parry since there's no combo agi/stam gem.
O RLY?

There is an easy rule of thumb to determine what you are ready for. Find all of your gear's average item level. Then check which one of the following numbers it is closest to: 200, 213, 219, 226, 232, 245, 251, 258, 264, 277. Then:
277 - You are all set
264 - ICC25H
251/258 - ICC25
251 - ICC10H
245 - ICC10, ToGC25
232 - ToC25, ToGC10
226 - ToC10, Ulduar25 H
219 - Ulduar25, EoE25
213 - Ulduar10
200 - Naxx25, OS25, EoE10
Vault of Archavon bosses usually go with the raid they were released with. That is Archavon with Naxx, Emalon with Ulduar, Koralon with ToC, and Toravon with ICC.

I stand corrected. The stickies at the top didn't mention the combo gems. Not the one Kenyon posted anyway.
Understand that Wowhead is a database with a forum tacked on. Not a forum with a small database tacked on. Its beyond simple to look up what gems (or anything else) exist in the game.

219 - Ulduar25, EoE25
213 - Ulduar10
200 - Naxx25, OS25, EoE10

Those values are way off. You surely dont need 245 average gear for ICC10. More like 226.
A better rule of thumb is you are generally ready for content if your gear averages the iLvl of two contents ago. In other words; one can leapfrog any one of the numbers you put up, content-wise, and still be fine, IE.
Farm ULD10 -> Ready for ToC10 -> Farm ToC10 -> Ready for ICC 10
ToGC10 is all you need to farm to have acceptable gear to do ICC10H, etc. If you want to do ICC10N beforehand, thats fine, but the subject is readyness.
A simple way to determine that this is correct is on patchwerk type encounters. On festergut the DPS needs to do at approx 4.5k DPS before enrage. My average 232 gear produces in excess of 6k DPS, 226 gear will produce at least 5k most likely 5.5k if people arnt sleeping. That is well within the design of these instances.
DiSCLAIMER: Gear wont magically make you win, you can have 277 gear and still wipe in deadmines. 9/10 zombies agree; use your brains.

Madness? This is paladin forums!
Ok, now that i've got that out of my system what i said before still stands, except even quests gearing rules with a very co-ordinated group can occasionally be going over the top (see ulduar in blues). However for general rule its pretty much spot on.
Yes i did just want to make a really overused and lame reference, however i helped the OP earlier so my good dead had already been done.
