Did i really deserve to get guild kick?

Post by

The people in the guild are resources, the guild's time is a resource, etc.
Very narrow-minded people here.
Actually Hyper, it was you specificallly who listed resorces--as repairs flasks food, etc.
But that said, the situation in YOUR guild doesnt matter here. The OP specifically stated that they dont raid OS. At all. He didnt say "We only use OS as a training ground" or "We sometimes run OS for the mount" he said they dont run OS.
The only other thing I can think of as being relevant is if OS was the weekly that week, then the GM would have had a point.
Now, my guild has a no pugging rule, but they never mind when I run for Ashes every week. Or go into ZG twice a week. Those are "mount runs" they arent even raids anymore. And they dont mind when I do OS. OS is, for all purposes at this point in most guilds--a mount run. Nothing more nothing less.
I am not saying a warning might not have been in order--but a kick is extreme. As stated by another poster "No pugging" is generally interpreted as "No pugging content that is relevant to the guild/the guild might need you for".

Let's go look, shall we?
Here
is the first post on the issue:
No, but the guild is paying his repairs, giving him flasks and food,
giving him a controlled environment for raiding and thus a higher chance of getting gear.
There is a reason people join raiding guilds.
You'll notice you conveniently forgot about that bolded part.
Let's go to my
next
post on the topic:
Raiding with guild = using guild resources.
You seemed to ignore that one completely.
And
again
:
Who ran your raid? What pool of people were the raid members pulled from? Who made sure they were all on time? Etc. Etc. Etc.
So, what's the moral of the story? If you're going to make a point based on someone else's post, please have said posts handy.

You're taking two different issues and trying to put them together.
Issue 1: Why he was kicked.
Issue 2: Reasons for such a rule rule.
You'll noticed
my answer
to Issue 1:
He didn't get kicked because he did OS. He got kicked because he broke the rule.
The majority of my other posts deal with Issue 2.
It's great that you want to jump in to the argument, but make sure you understand where everything stands before doing so.

However, we also agree that perhaps a kick was a bit harsh.
...
Agree?

I can't believe this pointless topic has been going on for 14 pages. Just move on ffs.
It's only pointless because you choose to see it so. Move along please.
Also I find the whole "bumping this thread just to say that I find it funny that it's still alive" thing a bit hilarious.

Apparently not, because you continue to call someone a jerk who doesn't deserve it given that...

It is his opinion, you can't change that. No matter how many arguments you bring, you can't change one man opinion.

"...i think i can safely say...jes the officer was a jerk"
Safely say
, means there is solid evidence or a good reason. But as I said, given the fact that he admits that he shouldn't have broken the rule and that deserved the kick, the officer did the right thing.

Yes the officer did the right thing.
Yes the officer is a jerk.

Asserting the contrary is not a valid argument. Provide evidence. I provided evidence that his actions don't make him a jerk. Your turn.
