no this isnt a QQ post, i just want your opinion if i realy deserved to get a guildkick.
in our guild we had a few rules and one of them was:
"dont do 10 man pugs, safe them for the guild"
so i get a wisper from a friend of me if i wanted to join a OS raid that tryed to get the tittle from
the twilight zone achievement
we were just about to start when i got a wisper from a officer of my guild
wispers: are you doing a pug?
: jes im going for the nightfall tittle
: havent you seen the guildrules? dont pug 10mans
: but its OS, nobody wants in the guild wants to do that one....
*you have been removed from the guild by
we have NEVER done OS, we didnt bother becouse 80% of the guild was already wearling ICC gear.
so did i realy deserved to get kicked from the guild becouse i did a outdated raid?
soz for bad grammar

If something appears to be so obviously retarded (or anything else) to you then most likely the majority of people will share your opinion. Note that this doesn't apply to matters of beliefs, politics, etc.
A duck is a duck is a duck is universally a duck no matter where you go. Don't attempt to troll by saying something like "lolsz other languages call it something different noob lolszf."

1) Rule is stupid if it extends to OS.
2) I doubt you were that important to the guild and vice versa if they booted you because of that.
3) This could be for the better.
He could have said, "Well, rules are rules, please leave the raid, or I will boot you." But he just booted. Do you really want to be a part of something like that?

I could see them getting upset if it was a PUG for a progression raid, but kicking you for pugging something the guild doesn't even run is kind of a &*!@#$y move, but it's their rules and you broke them, no matter how petty the reason for kicking you. That doesn't sound like a guild I'd want to be in if that is the only reason they kicked you out for and there weren't other underlying reasons and you pugging a raid was just the last straw.
If you really like the guild and want to stay maybe ask the GM or another officer if going to that extreme was really that necessary? If you didn't care about the guild that much then just cut your losses and move on.

Rules are rules, you broke one. It was justified, but I unnecessary.

This.
But if it's not that...I'll be curious to see if they extend that rule to everyone. Like it's Monday and an officer forgot to do his weekly raid for 5 frost emblems. It's already been done by the majority of the guild and he must resort to pugging Naxx or whatever to get it. I would seriously doubt if he went ahead and spent like 10 minuted in Naxx, he would get kicked. But if that would result in a kick...woa...

Rules are there to be broken.
More importantly though, did you get the title?

At this point in the expansion, I would expect 'don't pug any ten man raids' to have a sub-clause added to it if it was supposed to include things like OS. Anything with 200 loot is sort of implied to be exempt unless explicitly stated.

I don't think the rule is stupid at all. It makes you put the guild first. You're perfectly free to ask to PuG a low lvl raid, but if you refuse to even ask that shows you don't really respect the guild.

Agreed, my guild had a problem with that as well, people tying themselves to other raids and lowering the number we had to draw on.
