Wowhead client/looter uploading problems

I just switched over to Windows 7 and at 2% my upload speed drops and I receive this error:
"There appears to be a problem uploading your data. Would you like to learn more about how you may be able to fix this?"
I've searched the forums for upload problems with the wowhead looter but can't seem to find a reason or a fix. The only thing that seemed like it might apply was a mention about AVG anti-virus which I'm using.
If anyone has a solution or idea thanks in advance.
My apologies, just realized I didn't post this in the UI forum.

I recently had this issue also. Delete your "Wowhead_Client.exe", and Re-download the client, that should fix it. It did for me. Also, clicked the link/button to find out how to fix it, it likely brought you to the download page.

This is the correct forum for this issue, being that the Client is a Wowhead issue.

I've deleted the client as well as the folders from my interface several times with no change. It stops at the same percent even after clearing all wowhead related files.

Had the same problem here. As a drastic measure, deleting the wowhead looter .lua files will resolve the problem.

Yeah, deleting the wowhead addon and downloading the client again solved it for me.

And on the first exit of wow after the fix the same problem is back.

I'm having the same issue however, I can't uninstall/delete/overwrite the client as it is "in use by another program". I get this alert even after rebooting. No apps or processes showing up in task manager either.

Go down to your TaskBar, by your clock. Do you see the Wowhead Rocket there? click the arrow and see if it comes up. If its there, then the client is still running.

the thing is as soon as you log in, back out and then try to upload the same error occurs
things caused by the account specific data, all you can do to get around it is pretty much constantly delete the +wowhead_looter.lua till this is fixed

Getting this on Win7 Ultimate with Wowhead client v.1.4.9
Re-downloaded the client but still hangs at 99% with a ~780kb file to upload.

Had this happen once earlier in the week, closed the WoWHead client, relaunched it and it updated itself, which seemed to fix the error.
However, the error came back yesterday and closing and relaunching the client hasn't fixed it this time, so I figured I'd better learn how I might be able to fix it! After a bit of searching on the page I was taken to I found the FAQ tab and noticed this:
New! The Wowhead Client is having trouble uploading my data. What can I do?
Some antivirus programs seem to want to block the Wowhead Client from uploading, most notably AVG and Kaspersky. If you're using AVG, you may be able to work around the issue by deactivating LinkScanner. If not, or if this doesn't work, we are working on a more permanent solution to this issue internally.
I'm not using either AVG or Kaspersky, I'm using avast! Free AntiVirus, program version 5.0.462, Virus definitions version 100313-1 (in case any of that info helps).

I am having the same issue here as well.
windows 7 ultimate, wowhead client version 1.4.9, Norton Internet Security 2009 with wowhead client permission granted.
it seems like the wowhead client is bugged, and the only solution is to either delete the client and reinstall, or to delete the Wowhead_looter.lua file, judging by these posts.
edit:
i have removed the wowhead looter folder completely from the interface folder, then deleted the wowheadclient.exe file. downloaded it again, it updated to the latest version, and then it reinstalled the .lua file. still not solved it.
i have noticed that it uploads steadily with a 70 kb speed, goes to 100% for a split second when it is almost finished, then goes to 99%. then the 70 upload speed is counting down to 0 again, and when it reaches 0, it halts for a few moments, then i get that screen.
