Barely any outdoor raids in WoW

It just dawned on me that there are barely any outdoor raids in WoW. Many MMO's have outdoor raids, the only ones I can think of in WoW is that dragon in duskwood, and zul'gurub (if that counts as outdoor)... with the current expansion WotLK it has all been inside dungeons, do you think WoW needs more outdoor raids? In cataclysm do you think there will be more outdoor raids instead of boring inside raids?

I know that in Vanilla WoW there were several end-game World raids involving corrupted dragons of the Emerald Dragonflight... aside from the occasional PvP raids, of course.
Maybe they'll include more open-world content in Cata. We can't know for sure.

How many evil and dark overlords that have their minds set on world destruction or subjugation do you know that live outside under the stars instead of inside some kind of dark, gothic, booby-trapped, castle or dungeon?

Don't forget Azuregos in Azshara, Son of Malygos (presumed).

Actually, I don't know any evil and dark overlords. um, arthas.
Icecrown
Citadel
?
Great big tower/castle thing that looks like Sauron's fortress?
Sure he sits on top of the tower a bit gazing out over Azeroth and planning for world domination and acquiring the new pink bunny slippers off Ebay, but he also goes down into the castle major a bit too.

It's weird that they removed Doomwalker and Kazzak from the game.. but left in the Four Nightmare dragons, I saw Emeriss a few nights ago while finishing up exploring Kalimdor, she was at the gate way in Feralas.

Meh, the stars are covered up by the dark clouds that perpetually cover the sky around ICC.
:P
Arthas is a bit of a goth and sets the weather according to his mood.

Kazzak
has been chilling in outlands for awhile now, he jumped through at the opening of the dark portal to become a Doom lord. And to my knowledge Doomwalker is still roaming around.

I think the OP brings up a pretty good point. While it isn't particularly high-priority in terms of game development, I think the idea is solid.
Blizzard has steered away from outdoor bosses intentionally. Downing an outdoor boss relies more on camping his location and praying you are the first guild on-site when he actually spawns, not much skill involved.

so his mood ring doubles as a weather changing device? :p
Of course.
Unfortunately, ever since Jaina left him for Thrall it's always been set to "teen angst."

They used to have a lot, but they found problems with them because enemy factions would always be trying them at the same time...
