I also see that all builds have improved mangle.
I would say most main tank builds
don't
include improved mangle. Mine doesn't at least, and I don't think the ones in the stickies by parra or hashmel do either. Its not really worth the talent points, there are better ways to increase TPS.
IMO, don't take Imp. Mangle and do this:
3+ mobs = Spam Swipe+Maul.
1 or 2 mobs = Do the
4-move rotation
on one of them (Always spam Maul and also do this over and over: FFF, Mangle, Filler, Filler -- where Filler means Lacerate to 5 Stacks / Refresh a 5 stack after the 2nd-or-3rd-to-last tick / Apply or Reapply Demo Roar / Swipe if nothing else is necessary)

I use mangle when tanking groups, personally.
Once initial aggro is stable on me from maul and swipe, I will use Mangle on my primary target. If I feel I have lower threat on certain mobs such as group outliers that probably aren't being hit by Maul, I'll give them some focus and a Mangle to solidify that threat. Mobs do shift around a little bit this way, however, so watch how far out you drag them as your aoeing dps might have to reposition channeled abilities and consecrates.
Also additional ways to hold threat on outlier mobs is FFF and good ol' growl.
If the target has a dedicated dps on it, this won't work more than making them switch focus back and forth alot but it will keep a stray mob off your healer without moving you away from the core group.

There has only ever really been one "main tank"
build
in my opintion.
You can alter it to your play style based on if you just run heroics or like to dps, but hands down that is the cookie cutter "main tank" build.
Needs moar KotJ imo, but solid anyway. I wouldnt recommend a KotJ build to a new feral tank anyway.
As Heckler and Foley already said, Improved Mangle sucks.

Most of the credible information in said guide was offered by myself, aadra, parra, pelf and others, or simply cut and pasted from the other guides.
Oh hai Foley, you remember me! :)

ooc is not for tanks.
Shifting before a pull and not getting my 10 rage is far more detrimental to me than ooc procs during one.
What good is a free attack when you have 100 rage?
Most of our attacks will offten grant more rage back than it cost.
If you crit on 3 mobs with swipe its free...
If you crit on 2 mobs with maul its free...
If you dodge you get rage...
If you get hit you get rage...
If you auto attack you get rage...
Revitalize gives you rage...
Why the hell do you not have any rage?
The thing is:
you don't always hit 3 targets with swipe,
you don't always hit 2 targets with maul,
dodge doesn't generate that much rage (go back to uld10 in T10, rage-starvation ftw!),
on fights like saurfang you don't always get hit (tank-switches),
not everyone specs into revitalize
And besides, OoC benefits kitty dps while the OT is tanking (festergut anyone?). Druids are the tanks with the most dps when not tanking compared to other tanks, imo you should use that. Hence why I specced into OoC, KotJ and Shredding Attacks (yes, indeed I did, even though that's a clear kitty talent).
See Im just not a believer of Kotj for tanking. Originally it was due to the fact that I only enrage before and between pulls to gain rage. so...a 15% buff to my damage when Im
not
attacking anything seams useless. Now again with the addition of the t104pc people have been getting all juicy in their pants for Kotj in their builds. To me that just seams silly. Enrage has gone from an ability I spam mindlessly between pulls, to something I keep on reserve for hard hitting abilities.
Those "hard hitting abilities" rarely come within 1 min of the pull. And furor is a lot less critical now with enrage giving a 20 rage right off the bat.
Back when there was no T10 yet, I started almost every single fight with barkskin + enrage (I've had KotJ almost the entire expansion), even though I had 5/5 furor. When the hart hitting ability is inc, barkskin is off cd again (and it's not like it's our only cd anyways, although the others are on a longer cd).
I prefer all those talents compared to dumping 5 talent points to get a constant 4% increased damage in bear and 4% crit rating in kitty.
Yours might be the "MT build", but I prefer boosting what we do best really (which is being able to switch to kitty). Also, I think there's no such thing as MT's anymore. Our guild doesn't have 1 guy who main tanks all, we even roll for who's gonna be the marrowgar tank ffs!

Pantsless tanking is all the rage.
Edit: Pun intended.

Well first of all... who the hell is tanking uld10 in t10?
On off-nights, we farm the "hard" modes for the slackers who don't have their drakes yet (or algalon). Sad I know, but it is what it is.
Hi, I'm du
a
l spec. Have we met?
Wait, you can change spec mid-combat now? (o, and fixed)
On fights like Sindragosa and especially Festergut, feral shapeshifting really shines. I just wanna boost that shining. 2 weeks ago I didn't have Shredding Attacks (instead, I maxed Furor), and it's so much better not having to wait that long for shred to be used, especially with the mangle change. I don't really see anything being sacrificed in regards to tanking with those dps talents.
If you're using a hybrid spec, then you aren't the main tank and have no need for a "main tank spec"
I have every talent mandatory for tanking (I don't see MS as needed), so imo it's still an MT build.
Almost every fight in icc requires 2 tanks. Not a main tank and an off tank, but two actual tanks of equal caliber to share equal dutys.
Also, I think there's no such thing as MT's anymore.
The reason why we roll for who gets to MT on Marrowgar is NOT because our tanks are as
s
hats, but because we cba to decide for ourselves. All of em can handle it anyways, so it doesn't matter.
Its obvious Im set on my ways when it comes to the tank build. Kotj seams absolutely useless to me as a bear. 15% damage 1/6th of a minute....(
"IF"
you actually spam it every minute. which you dont, and shouldnt be doing if you have t10) doesnt not beat out a constant 4%.
As said, I like it for initial threat (trigger happy dps lulz), even when I didn't have T10 4set I still used barkskin + enrage at the start of a pull. Again: hard-hitting abilities rarely come within 1 minute of the pull.
it cost 2 extra talent points?
It costs 5 really. The 3 points in Natural Shapeshifter should be taken into account as well. Why? Because Natural Shapeshifter is useless without Master Shapeshifter.
What did you lose? ooc? Shredding attacks? Definately dont need it.
I don't
need
4% constant damage either.
