Why Your Religion?

Unless you ask Christians or Muslims, they'd tell you their beliefs come from the beginning of time. Part of the problem with belief in the supernatural, even if you could scientifically prove their religion was false a good portion of them would say your proof was their god/(s) testing their faith.
Well, if you ask the Christians, the world is only, what, 6 thousand plus years old heh? If you ask certain members of that one screwed up sect of the KKK, all the minorities came from Lilith as she was Adam's equal, and not his subservient like Eve was. But yeah, there are older religions then Christianity and Islam, you know, the Mayans and the Egyptians for one.

If God created everything in the universe, he also created evil.Of course He did.

Doesn't make very much sense... why worship an evil god?
He's not evil; He created good as well after all, but He put free-will into all of his creations, and they choose what to do, there are even thoughts that He knew what Lucifer was going to do, and let it happen to see what would occur..... at least, that's how I think it goes.

"Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent."
Heh, more or less.

MyTie, Buddhism and Greek mythology is older than Christianity and Islam...
Not if you consider that Christianity is based off of Judaism. I would say that true Judaism actually changed to Christianity by AD 70. Judaism we have as we understand it today has teachings it can't fulfill.

This has very little to do with what he was saying. He was pointing out that Greek Mythology is older than Christianity... and my response is in my post just before this one.

Buddhism is older than Judaism if I understand it correctly. Therefore you argument about "firstness" is invalid.

Nope. Sorry old chap. Buddah lived around 563 BC. Judaism has got this beat by thousands of years.

Aye, but the Mayans and the Egyptians were around long before Judaism.

This is difficult to show either way. Judaism has only verbal records, and sparse written records of these eras. Certainly there were people who believed other religions at the time when I believed Judaism was in practice in a verbal form. To say that Ancient Egypt had their religions first, well, you'd have to show a difinitive date of the start of Judaism, and the former.
Either way, I believe that God created the universe, and started humanity on its course, as is written in the old testament, which are Hebrew works. I can't very well believe that there were religions around before this, when I don't even believe there were humans, can I? But as form written or difinitve proof, I have none. But its definately not a competition of which is the oldest. I just said I ruled out the young ones.

What's that about non-whites being Lilith-spawn? Do you have a link to that? Not that I don't believe you, just stuff like that cracks me up. I read somewhere about secrets of the KKK being revealed through the Superman radio program back in the '40s (a reporter posed as one of them, then gave details about their rituals to be used in stories as Superman fought against them). I thought it was cute that apparently they used to call their holy book the "Kloran" (guess they liked to put Kl on different words, like calling themselves klavaliers).
I don't unfortunately, was something I saw on an A&E tv show a long time ago about the Klans heh.

Well, even then, the Egyptian beliefs were there before the Hebrew works(historically), still, that's your right, just like it's also your right to believe the Earth is only 6 thousand plus years old heh.

Possible... but not likely heh, but then again, no one ever gives an actual time for the days that God created the universe, until he say's 'Let there be Light', a day could have been a second or million upon millions of years heh.
