The punishment is far too excessive to the "crime".
You're talking about disrespecting the creator of the universe, and you're saying that the punishment is too excessive with respect to the crime?
For what it's worth - rulers in ancient civilisations used to torture / execute people just for looking at one of their concubines, much less actually trash-talking the ruler himself. Such punishment has been well used in human history.

Hell is not real and if it was I do not know how God can justify tossing people into eternal torture (which would be pointless because you would go insane and not enjoy it as much) because you didn't see eye to eye. The punishment is far too excessive to the "crime". If you won an argument over whether we landed on the moon in 1969 or 1970, would you go and embarrass a person with say a Super Bowl Ad? No, he was wrong and there is no reason why you would hurt them in such a way over such a petty action. Finally, it doesn't make sense for us to have Free Will when we are alive but the moment we die we give it up to God and have him decide our fate. After all, why would anyone will that they be tortured forever? Hell itself makes no sense and there is a great youtube movie on this by Qualiasoup.
I believe that only the 1/3rd and the Sons of Perdition go to Hell.
Everyone else, no matter how bad, goes to a Kingdom more glorious than Earth.
Look at my posts in thou shalt not kill thread I believe.

0 = 0
1 + (-1) = 0
Theoretical example of how without changing the net matter in the universe you could get more "real" matter. Before I read up on the singularity a lot more into depth, one of my theories was that nothingness was unstable, and after a period of time would split into positive and negative parts, with positive parts repelling negative parts and attracting other positive parts, explaining gravity (which I still don't fully understand, I think it has to do something with electromagnetic energy). After a while the universe as we know it formed, and then things went from there.

So Adams... I've just been wondering this for awhile.
What parts of Wicca do you believe? All of it (The Goddess/God(or multiples of both), Magic and the various rituals) or just certain parts?

The Creed, I believe in the Hunter and the Goddess, some of the rituals are good for cleansing a body of poisons, and the holidays of course. I have a hodgepodge thing of Wicca, Buddha, Hindu for what I believe in and trust, simple as that.

OK, that's cool.
Thanks for elaborating and all that stuff.

It's rather stupid.
All you continue to do is link insulting stories and then ask for opinions. When we say we don't like it you yell at us. Why sohuld I comment?

Reply to OP (sorry, did not read 38 pages):
My religion is the right one because it is mine. However, I assume it is only right for me and me alone. I've researched information about the beliefs of many religions and have found none of them really match me so I made my own. "Made my own" may not really be the most accurate way of putting it but it works pretty well.
I have my own set of moral and spiritual beliefs that I live my life by that is somewhat influenced by a combination of several other religions. Generally it involves basing my life around the ideas of honesty and loyalty and as of yet these two simple things have yet to ever fail me. I believe if I live my life well and do not cause harm to others for the sake of causing harm that I will be rewarded after I die.
I see no reason to accuse others of being evil for not thinking like I do, I see no reason to try and convert others to my way of thinking, I see no reason to put others down for what they believe. And quite frankly I think I am one of the happiest people I've ever met.
The thing that always strikes me as odd is how other religions tend to view ideas like mine. I have a friend who is Christian and even after describing this to her I was told flat out, "Yes your a good person but your still going to burn in hell for eternity for not worshiping the deity in MY book." It was all I could do not to laugh in their face. She seems genuinely concerned for my soul because I don't read the same book she does. The Christian God is generally referred to as all loving, all forgiving, etc etc. and yet all I ever seem to hear coming from most Christians is how vengeful their God is if you don't like Him best. Why would I want to worship a bully?

I find it incredibly enraging when Religious people say any possible faith or idea is 'stupid.' I found that to be an incredibly interesting article, and was a very very cool take on Ha-Satan, God, and the Abrhamic Religions, and makes more probable sense to me than Christianity proper. My biggest problem with Christianity is that it accepts that anything God does is moral, and that the only reason to be moral is to fear the consequences of not doing so. During my study of the Torah/Old Testament, I have found no mention of 'Hell,' 'Heaven' or a 'Devil,' except in commentary. It seems to me like they were putting down on paper what was moral and what wasn't, and simply having faith that people should follow these morals.
Isn't the idea of hell a form of terrorism?
Edit: Above poster puts it nicely as well.

I didn't read it all. Why? I took a look at the past articles he linked and I won't give this one the pleasure of a comment.
Considering that all of them are an insult to my religion I'm just going to stop reading them. I don't know, but I think this is Skree's way of continuing the argument and frankly I don't want to. I was done with this awhile ago and I'm not going to take any more crap that continues to insult me or my religion.

When will you get it through your head that, according to what I believe, almost nobody is going to hell. The only people that are are the 1/3rd, Cain and people who have felt the holy ghost, had positions like na apostle and then quit and said the church is untrue. (May also apply to people who were incredibly faithful and didn't hold a position but left as well.)

So, it's okay for someone with a religion to call something stupid, but not an atheist, in your eyes?

No. But it bothers me that the athests spend most of the time callingmy religion stupid and then calling me out for saying something is stupid.
