Then why didn't he make us all good?
Free will.
Then he's not all powerful, is he?
God cannot bend the laws of the universe, nature, physics etc. (He can nudge things along and everything he does has a reason but he can't just create something random that goes against the laws of physics.)

What? I'm pretty sure making something out of nothing is against the laws of physics, so you really can't say that.
Edit: Also, aren't physicists pretty sure that there is a finite amount of energy and mass, and thus God cannot be infinite?

iirc the matter he used was left over from the last God.
We don't know everything about God =P

Explain. I don't get what you are trying to do with this.

You know what...
Screw this argument. You religious people will never change. You will never take the blinders off. You will continue to be willfully ignorant and you will still fight to the death to defend you superstitions. You believe so firmly and unyieldingly that your thousand year old religion invented by uneducated nomads is 100 percent truth, and that any inconvienient evidence or science indicating otherwise has to be wrong. Your parents instilled the belief in the skydaddy into you when you were young and still forming, and so now it has becmoe a fundamental part of your reasoning. This will continue until parents stop teaching superstitions to the young and intellectually vulnerable, which will never happen.
I'm going to die a long time before religion does, so screw trying to change your minds. This is an unwinnable battle, and it's just going to give me ulcers.

That God, by definition, exists without the laws of physics.

Alright, let's put this the simple way possible: God does not want sheep, he would rather we live and die by our own choices in the world He created for us. Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden because they broke one of His laws, and since then, all humans have been marked by that original instance, which isn't fair but there it is. If you also remember, Moses and his people wandered for 40 years in the desert before they reached the promised land, to learn and become more then they are. All of the evil, suffering, strife, war, death what have you that exists on Earth is meant to strengthen and empower a soul, make us better then we are, and make us more then we are so when we pass on, our Souls become part of the Kingdom of Heaven.

I find this rather ironic, hypocritical and stupid.
Sorry Skree, but it is.

Then he's not all powerful, is he?
How does this make Him not all powerful?
He can't do something aka he isn't all powerful.
And before you say that what he said is logically impossible, so it is being 1 god but 3 at the same time, all loving but leaving evil, all powerful but incapable of defeating devil.
Especially the Christian god is filled with assumptions that are contradicting with each other and the answer is 'because he is all powerful'. I can't understand why he can't do one more of these illogical magical actions.
Edit: also skree, that was rather immature...

I'm sorry, but I cannot argue this any longer today. I'm angry enough that my hands are shaking, and I feel about 10 degrees hotter. Even if I were to get you all to behave and think according to reason rather than superstition, that's only a drop in the bucket of the Religious Problem.

The thing is people constantly use modern knowledge to prove God doesn't exist, but at the same time our modern knowledge is flawed. He don't know everything and are constantly learning new things.
Thus, its like a level 30 trying to beat a level ? boss because he thinks he is the highest level.

Not all Christians believe that. LDS (my church) believe they are three separate beings. They leave evil to test us and they leave the devil to test us as well.

Gorefiend, think please.
Yes, if he is all powerful he can make free will without free will. He can do that the same way he is 3 gods but 1 god.
He is all powerful, thus he can do everything. Even if he can't do a single, even completely crazy and illogical thing, he stops being all powerful
edit: funden, sorry I wasn't aware of that. But I am pretty sure if you search deeper you will find logical inconsistencies. After all religion was built on the unknown

And that's my final word on the subject. Not going to be returning to this thread today, or I will end up with ulcers. You people only remind me of how our world is drowning in superstition.

Love is the foundation of religion. Without free will, you cannot love so I ask: How do we love?
god makes you so, he is all powerful after all. He can make you have free will without free will, truly love him without being able to love and being 10 meters tall and2 meters tall at the same time.
He can do all these and with ease
because he is all powerful
