Or a kitty, let's not forget our furry friends.
actually, kitty's don't cover Blood Frenzy.
i end up dps'ing a lot in 25's since we have no other dps warriors. i just lost my combat rogue, so i'm going back to arms this week. i'm very curious to see how much dps i'm going to lose (if any).

You know Recount doesn't account for everything an Arms warrior does. Just to point out one thing
Blood Frenzy
. Smart RL's will still bring a good Arms Warrior for their utility. Short sighted people will always chooses the most obvious answers.
One member of a raids DPS doesn't have that kind of bearing on the Enrage timer.
or a combat rogue who provides the same buff.
obviously, good raid leaders stack their raid to cover all available buffs so 1 arms warrior would be necessary in the absence of a combat rogue.
I didn t say that arms warrior is useless on a raid rather than the fact is that
fury
beats
arms
in dps.
As for the buff the arms warrior can give to the raid as
Uricidea
said a combat rogue can give the same
savage combat
(as
marklartank
said) and a RL should probably fill 1 rogue for that buff over a warrior for their dps output.
Ofc the raid needs that buff and if a rogue is not available you d switch but the dps loss as a warrior is still there.
So u sacrifice ur personal dps for the sake of the raid and that is totally acceptable to me and in your place i would do the same, but don t try to persuade us that an arms is btr than fury.
To conclude,
I didn t say this to make warriors raid as fury only specc.
You must play ur character as u want, but if u search to top the charts
fury
is ur way and arms still can t give u that.

update: i switched back to arms last night and got a chance to jump in a quick VoA. with poor muscle memory and offset gear i did just over 8k on the first guy, which is pretty close to what i was doing as fury (i think i was just under 9k on festergut with the 10% buff last week).
so while BiS warriors may be a bit higher as fury, i don't think there's a big enough difference to the average raider to feel compelled to play fury. arms is still competitive.

People keep regurgitating information that they believe is true without much context.
Fury: Easier rotation, less dps loss on maintaining debuffs and high movement fights (just slightly, due to arms having to cast slam sometimes).
Arms: complex rotation with no dead time so that every unused gcd is a dps loss, more controllable dmg (useful on saurfang).
The difference in dps between the two specs? last time i checked on world of logs, about 400 dps in 10man, which would increase as the gear does.
The difference is small enough that you can play whichever spec you are best at, which would be the best dps.

This.
I'd also add that it really depends on the speed you prefer to play at.
Fury tends to be more fast paced as far as outgoing dmg, and the primary focus of the spec is (in my mind) proper CD management.
Arms is more methodical and on the micromanaging your rotation level. Your dps is harshly effected by slip-ups.
