I have many-a stories. Incoming wall of text.

Timber
--
I was a young dwarf (Sadly, only dwarf, deleted a month later at 17), scouring through the TBC world of Dun Morough. The world was beautiful. The fancy little Jaguars stroke my interest. Take note, noob with no pet, didn't go so well.
As soon as I reached level 10, I immediately dashed to the Jaguar spawns, but before I did, I see a flash of white, then more. It's a giant pack of wolves. And the leader?
Timber. In all his glory.
I charge in, and tame. All of his goons kill me 3-5 times before I finally give up. I ask my dad to help, and he charges in on his 70 Druid and wipes the guards. I thank him, tame, and then Timber was mine.

Eecheeyakee
--
Leveling my dear old Tauren Hunter, whom I also abandoned, I decided to tame Eecheeyakee. Got the quest, and bam, there he is. I fumbled for tame, (Take note, also in TBC, when I was a noob), but died before the wonderful lion was mine. While I ran back as a spirit, I saw a Human Hunter, level ?, taming him. /Cheer'd, and left. Blew the horn, and pop, there he was. Successful.

Humar The Pridelord
--
This was a remarkably rare pet back then, so few hunters had him. He was a beauty. While I was leveling my first ever character, a Nelf, I swung by the Barrens to tame a lion or raptor, then while looking Petopia to see where they were, BAM, I see Humar in the list. I immediately fall in love with him, and go to his spawn. Lucky as I was, he was there, but the lions WERE A PAIN IN THE NECK. I had to kite them all out and kill them, while dying in the process. They respawned, repeat, then there's Humar, sleeping like a kitten. Tame. Named him Blackstar. He's still adorable, yet not as significant to find him these days. Sigh. Got him on my new hunter, named it Adelaid. Wasn't as fun

Ghost Saber
--
This was my far my hardest tame ever, at my level. I didn't know much, so it was even harder. Wandering through the mysterious mists of the un-cataclysmic Darkshore, on my first character, same nelf, Ladeea. I see a small figure on the floor, and click it. Out pops a vicious ghost saber, whom I scream at. I was in an airport, btw, using a hotspot for the wifi. People stared at me. Wasn't fun. So I was level 21, no heirlooms, terrible gear, and deleted my beautiful, oh so very beautiful, Moonstalker. I had no slots left in my stable. I run up a hill, put down that Chain Trap, I believe, got deleted later, and tamed. I loved her, and used her up to 35. I named her Jasmine.
The Spirit Beasts, when I wasn't a noob
Loque'Nahak
Years ago, far back when Wrath launched, I was watching my Dad fly around Sholozar, killing serpents, wrangling Shango, etc etc, when all of a sudden, a sudden blaze of blue dashes across the screen. It was the one and only, Loque'Nahak. I didn't know about him, but I fell in love. But before my dad could tame, a Tauren Drood swooped in and murdered him. My dad has not seen him since.
Time skip to 2014.
There I am, a fresh new hunter, practicing the ancient arts of bow and arrow on the local mammoths. I think "Hey, I should look for loque!" I do. Every hour on the hour for each day I was in sholozar.
(I enjoyed Sholo so I took all the time I could to do it, took me 3 days.)
I reach 79, because I absolutely refused to rendezvous to Storm Peaks, my next target was Skoll and TLPD.
I sigh, and think "one last round won't hurt"
I hop on my giant, smash some Scourge faces in, and then get on my Star Steed. Fly around, and bam, blares off NPCScan.
Heart racing.
But alas, it was a dead King Krush. Wasn't who I was looking for. I sigh, and continue my patrol, then it blares off again. IT WAS LOQUE'FRICKIN'NAHAQUE.
I drop down, losing 10% health, and tame immediately, and right after, a Goblin hunter flies by, and lands. He puts /congratulations, then proceeds to kill me. At least he was nice.
--Arcturis--
This beauty wasn't so hard. I sat down on Grizzly Hills, claiming the spawn as my territory with one other friend who we chatted for 4 hours. then 7 other hunters came along the way, all left, except my friend. We wait, and wait. Wait some more. I log off, for 5 minutes, then back. Still not there, I open my escape and BAM, A ghostly blue bear swirls out of thin air into the open. The friend starts screaming "OH MY GOD", bad mistake on his part, because I got the tame.
I /hug'd my bear, then him. I offered to help him when he next spawns, which is approximately 10 hours. I came back on 9 hours later, and there's my friend. he waves, and we wait. A 75 belf comes by, which we were alliance, and we, childishly, gank his brains out. He leaves. We were rude on my part, but my poor friend was camping for over 24 hours.
Then, there's Arc in all his glory.
Friend snatches it up, and we /cheer at the bear.
He named his Arc, Arcturis, ofc.
I named mine Twilight <3
I still love her, third pet I keep out most.
--Skoll--
This was a pain in the neck. I was camping for 6 hours every day, with no luck. For a week.
Then, one day, I log on by the plate, and there he is. I scream happily, and before I could get off my mount, an undead Warlock swoops in and starts attacking him. I could never achieve him now, so I did the honors of one last Arcane shot to the head. He leaves, and I stand over Skoll's dead body, stroking the crackling fur.
"I'll have you soon, friend" I whisper.
Good luck for me, Woke up 5h50m later, and bam, he spawns within 2 minutes of me logging on. Tamed happily, healthily, and my new Azure is my new main pet <3
--Gondria--
By far longest camped cat for me ever.
I spent overall 2 days looking for her. In all.
I see her corpse thrice, and her being tamed once, but it was a worgen, and he thanked me for not griefing. I happily /cheer at him and leave.
Later, I hop back on, and go se of Har'Koa, Loque's lookalike wife. And bam, there she is. Prowling around.
I drop down, and try to tame, but it says
"active summon"
My brain stops, along with my heart, I closed my eyes, and slowly open them to see my Gondria baby being attacked by Arcturis.
She's down to 1k health, and I paniced. I press Passive on arc, dismiss, and tame.
Thank Jesus for Passive.
