Is it doable? Are druids competent enough healers at lower levels to make this feasible?
Should I gear for spirit, spellpower and intellect? If so will i be better off going for cloth pieces than leather as I don't see much leather gear with those stats at low levels.

Yes you can. Yes, those stats. Yes, cloth is good.

A lot of instances... over and over and over again.
Basically ever level range has one instance. So you'll keep getting dungeon pops and it'll be the same dungeon you just got out of. You're going to be doing Scarlet Monastery forever.

Feel like dying just from hearing it :)

It's doable certainly, but it might end up rather frustrating... I'd suggest speccing balance initially, so you can quest while waiting for the dungeon finder (you'll probably end up waiting ~5 minutes most of the time for a group, which really adds up, especially when a group disbands close to the start). By the time it matters you'll be able to get dual spec for resto, and either keep the balance spec or turn it into a tanking/kitty spec (the tanking spec would certainly help your queue times if you wanted to go down that route).

Doing this right now.... Level 57 at the moment. Started doing this at about level 20... the reason I started leveling this toon again actually. It's been just fine. Compared to questing... the XP seems to just roll right in. When you get a good, quick tank who's leveling an alt
stick with them
, they have the same goal as you. Some levels, it seems like 1 dungeon will almost fill a level's XP bar, other levels it'll take 3 or so runs. All in all, not too bad, and the social aspect helps with the repetitiveness.
There's never (to my knowledge) just one dungeon in your level range. That being said, you will get the same dungeons
repeatedly
at certain points; Scarlet Monastery being one... another being Blackrock Depths/City/etc... I'm soooo sick of BRD. But my 50's are going
fast
.
I feel like I've (at this level anyways) pretty much mastered 5-man heals, and I'm dual speccing as a Bear to try and get a handle on that too.

If I got Stockades one more time I was going to delete my Shaman. I had to stop random queueing. I never got my second piece of blue gear for that level. That place is the most bass-ackwards craphole of a cesspit that blizzard ever defecated into existence.

Yeah, I seriously don't get Stockades.

I believe it was just somewhere that kind of tied up the Defias and some of the Duskwood quest lines... so it was intended that you'd do it once for the quests, then never again. Just guessing here, of course, but it'd explain the lack of loot.

Psh i love stocks! granted with an appropriate level group, it can suck sometimes...but its one of the best for power leveling. have a high leveled friend pull one hallway at a time and watch the xp add up; rinse and repeat. at least 4-5 quests deal with stocks additionally, so even more xp while you do it. and ya never know, you might get a rare spawn with shiny blues! did i mention you never have to leave a major city - one with plenty of bored people who will sometimes run you for free!
to the OP, again, yes to all. if you like healing go for it, but being a tank isnt a bad idea either. the best part about lower levels is that you can make a cookie cutter tank/dps spec and do fine, then when you're waiting for a dungeon que or just bored of repeating instances, you can just pop into cat form and quest. around 70ish you might want to think about dual spec to make life easier, but dealing with purely normal instances you might be able to slide with cookie cutter tank/dps spec all the way to 80.

Kick a DPS or two, run into SW and sell Stocks runs. Alternatively, sit back and farm wool cloth.

Don't forget if you get tired of doing dungeons, queue up some battlegrounds. It's slower xp, but if you enjoy pvp, it's a lot more dynamic. I try to do dungeons in the first 5 levels... ie11-15, 30-35, then hit up BGs from the last 5 levels 35-39, etc. If you do BGs at the low end of the bracked, usually there are a couple high brackets folks that totally dominate you. Mid-range is the most fun/challenge if you are going the BG leveling route.
And make sure you have your resilience pieces... helps a lot.
