I thought the Ettin were just Gronn models right now?

No, there are probably Ettin models in game; the gronn in chains pic from the daily screenshot is suppose to be somewhere in Blackrock Mountains.

Those look pretty cool. I've only seen Ettin in a book, so this is suprising.
Why does one hand have perfectly trimmed nails while the other doesn't?
If I had to guess, one heads smart, the other one can count to potato.

the evil monster is using worgen hides as feet warmers! :(.That
probably
answers the question of whether or not NPC worgen will still be skinnable after Cata. judging by that, and the roof top arm guards, he's abviously enormous. and apparently he's an elite you have to kill for a quest in gilneas.I'm guessing
fjord reaver size
or so.

Could also be Son of Gruul size.

Could also be Son of Gruul size.Hmm. Yeah, I suppose Durn It To Heck
could
wear a roof on his arm like that.

Makes sense; the Ettin look like some weird cross between a Son model and an ogre... which raises the question; where did something that big come from?

The two heads, if you ask me, show that they're related to the ogres of Draenor. Perhaps a few escaped when the Horde was defeated at the Capital City and pushed back south, and then took up residence in the mountains?

Possible; the Ogres did spread out across most of the world after the second war, but.... how did they get into Gilneas? They did shut themselves up fairly quickly after the Second War, and you'd think they would have scoured their countryside for any threats.
The First War and the Dark Portal opening are all still inside the timeframe of a human lifetime. I don't see how any Ogre could have mutated into something like an Ettin in that sort of time, even taking into account that most two headed Ogres were magically created and could have done something horrible to themselves.
Well, if they did escape into the mountains of Lordaeron... maybe the magi summoned something, the spell went wrong, and they ended up with the Ettin?

They somehow manage to climb up into the mountains to escape the Gilneans, it seems possible - although ogres arn't known for their stealth capabilities.

Compared to the roof tied to his shoulder, is that ram tied around his waist the size of a small house?
