Okay, this forum seems to be moving slower than a 90 year old woman behind the wheel, so here's an attempt to 'liven' things up a little. First things first, disclaimers! This is a satirical thread designed for entertainment about
bad
'perfect, boring, shiny' characters with cliché-ridden backstories and unspeakable powers. This is not a slanging match or a name-calling, finger-pointing thread where you rant about other people on the board's characters who may or may not be the dreaded
Sue
.
You can either make your own Sue up, or paraphrase one you've seen in-game, use a previous character of yours if you feel like it; if that floats your boat.
Generally, poetic and emotive terms are used when describing physical features, such as
'shimmering, dark as the night and almost never-ending neatly and naturally straight tresses which appear to be neverending, locks of the majestic gift pooling at their feet.'
.
Get it? Good. Let's see what we can come up with. :)
Fúíndás Cármél Éxtrápógándíál is a well poised woman, barely sixteen years of age, with blonde hair as bright as the sun on a clear July's day and as flowing and pure as the Southfury river. She is nice, but people often do not give her a chance to be known, and as such; she has very few acquaintances, despite her good nature and kindness. Her curves are as sensual as the freshest moonberries, and as soft as her infamous puff pastry.
Fúíndás was born of nobility, the half daughter of King Terenas whom was hidden from view by her mother, the future Queen of Stormwind - Tiffin Wrynn - until her demise. This makes her both King Varian's step daughter and the Lich King, Arthas' half-sister. When her mother died, she was raised by her evil sister Calia, forced to cook, clean and act like a slave. Fúíndás cried herself to sleep everynight, but managed to keep optimistic. One night, in the dim moonlight, Fúíndás was rescued by an orc called Thrall, who she was told looked like his 'sister'. She kissed him on the cheek, leaving him dazed, and ran into the night.
She runs the Secret Society of All That is Good and Righteous from her extravagent mansion which never needs cleaning, located snugly in the rolling foothills of Hillsbrad. Here, she sports a DEHTA badge, a vial of the Well of Eternity (it looks pretty, it glows; Illidan gave her it as a present for saving his life) and she campaigns for equal rights between kobolds and humans, whilst also ending poverty and sadness with her infamous puff pastry.

Bazeal Stormwhisper is the illegitimate child of Illidan and Tyrande, created during an 'accident'. Priestess Whisperwind, ashamed, locked him up fro thousands of years, just like his father. But when Illidan died, Bazeal was surged with power and escaped. He has the skills of a Demon Hunter and Priest, but practises all magic schools (he learned these - on his own - during his imprisonment.)
Lusting for vengeance, he flew to Darnassus and revealed the truth about his heritage. The Night Elves rebelled against their leader and Tyrande was exiled, Bazeal taking her place. He is loved by his people and fights anything that threatens Kalimdor on his own, being powerful and all. When the Cataclysm happened, he fought Deathwing, and managed to get the Aspect to flee.

Jordan Archmagius is a master of magic, the greatest there ever was. He knows everything about magic can cast anything he wishes with but a snap of his fingers. He is also a master of combat wielding a mighty weapon named MIshyragnarflagripmaiyoripanilipseeiy or as it is known in the elven languages as "Really heavy sword". The sword weights ten tons and was forged by the best elven smiths using dragon magic and he is the only being in it's history to be able to wield it. He wields it with such ease that he carries a shield to guard against all attacks that might get through his mighty armor made of a metal so light that it feels like cloth but is stronger then plate. His features are amazing so great and strong is he, though his muscles aren't hideously bulgy and big, his skin is so tan and so flawless it makes many a girl swoon.

Oh... heh... I thought I would have to put an actual character here...
Sophera Ni'lana Riverdawn is the hidden love child of Kael'thas Sunstrider and Jaina Proudmoore. Because of an accident dealing with the Emerald Dream, the half-elven child was transformed into a night elf, and went on to become a scout after leaving her mother and her father behind. Along the way in her travels, she came across Prince Arthas Menethil, recently angered by Jaina leaving him. Sophera said nothing about who her mother was, and accompanied the prince across his travel to Northrend.
They became lovers, but when Arthas became a death knight he turned on her and killed her. A'dal granted Sophera a blessing and returned her to life as a human paladin. She has long, vibrant, violet hair which always sways in the wind, but never gets tangled or messy. Her eyes are a unique shade of pure sapphire, that seem to stare into your soul, purifying and refreshing it and making all your troubles seem to go away. She smells of a mixture of beautiful perfume and the sea. Sophera has perfect porcelain skin and a dainty nose, with a soft heart-shaped face.
She has a perfect figure that even shines through her heavy armor that was forged by the Titans and blessed by the Dragon Aspects themselves. Due to her courageous work in helping to defeat her once lover, Highlord Tirion Fordring handed her the Ashbringer so that she may further work to defeat Deathwing, where she is now currently leading a one-man charge to the depths of Deepholme to defeat the causer of the Cataclysm. No one has any doubt that she won't defeat him in a single flick of her hand, as she has the power to defeat even the mightiest foes with a glare.
I think you win so far. So much disgust from this one biography. ;)

I would participate in this. However, an unfortunate
Pirates of Dark Water
incident when I was twelve has left me severely allergic to the creation of Mary Sues.

Ahem...
Thraina was the illegitimate daughter of Thrall and Jaina, She stood at an even 5 feet and had eyes that shifted colors depending on her mood. She was given the ACTUAL Doombringer while her father wielded a copy. She was able to cast full shamanistic and arcane magics by the age of 15. In a matter of honor she dueled High Overlord Saurfang than took Orgim's Hammer as her own personal vehicle. She released Saurfang the Younger from his service from the Lich King, and they know live in a mansion in Nagrand up in the clouds Husband and Wife.
Saurfang forgive me...

Looks fun, time to make a character
Carl Menethil
Carl is the child of Arthas Menethil and Sylvanas Windrunner, he grew up being raised by Sargeras himself on a distant land. Once he came of age he fought Sargeras and almost won, however instead of killing Sargeras he imprisoned different parts of his mind and soul on various planets. Carl then created a massive portal and came to Azeroth where he travelled through the lands having many adventures.
After defeating the Lich King and the scourge singlehandedly he acquired Frostmourne, but due to his extreme power he overcame the blade and kept his soul. Gifted with the knowledge he acquired from the souls imprisoned in the blade he created a second blade exactly like Frostmourne and then he created armor out of his ivory and he then killed all the mages in Dalaran and destroyed the city also singlehandedly. The power he drained from their corpses was enough to strengthen his armor to such an extent that not even the great dragon aspects would have any chance at destroying it.
Then Carl was given a mighty corehound pet by the warlocks in the Slaughtered Lamb inn of Stormwind. He decided to name the corehound fluffy as it was bigger than the whole of Stormwind even and then he flew to the plaguelands on the back of Invincible who he acquired after defeating Arthas. He then cured the plagued areas with a magical biscuit he found one day under an overturned carriage. And to thank the warlocks for the corehound he built them a massive city made entirely out of Khorium, Felsteel and Titansteel.
Then Queen Azshara let Carl raise the sunken city of the naga up out of the depths and transform it into his owl personal island. By doing this the maelstrom was destroyed and Carl got married to Jaina Proudmoore and Garrosh Hellscream and lived happily ever after in a giant palace the size of Northrend made entirely out of carved ice with thousands of Pandaren servants to attend to his every need.

(bored right now, going to make another)
Erios Sunstrider, Slayer of the Lich King, Defender of Azeroth, Tamer of Demons, King of Dragons
Erios Sunstrider is the son of Kael'Thas Sunstrider and Garona Halforcen. Erios Sunstrider was born in Outlands before Kael'Thas defeat. He was taken to Azeroth by Bolvar Fordragon and given to the King of Stormwind who then gifted him to the dragons. The dragons magically aged him and he was permitted to travel through time by the Bronze Dragonflight. He defended Quel'Thalas from the scourge singehandedly and saved Sylvanas Windrunner from death. The two got married and they travelled back to Erios time, they fought their way through the entire scourge using just their bows and once the scourge lay dead at their feet they entered Icecrown Citadel. Erios slew Arthas using a variety of shamanistic, holy, unholy, frost, demonic and dragom magics allowing him to destroy the whole of Northrend. Northrend sunk beneath the frozen sea however only after Erios teleported everyone to safety.
Once he got back to Eastern Kingdoms Erios discovered his love Sylvanas was dead and so he travelled to Outland where he came from. There he created a memorial for her and his tears sank into the tainted soil. Such was his grief that Sargeras took pity on him and the whole of Outland was born anew, it once again became known as Draenor. Erios became best friend with Sargeras and they traveled around the worlds with the Legion making everywhere a happy place to live in filled with cuddly Pandarens and delicious treats. The two then moved to a sparkly snow colored fortress on Aerie Peak filled with cuddly rabbits and other critters. It is from there that they rule the whole of Azeroth and the rest of the universe with peace and love.
The dragons of Azeroth were so happy with Erios that they have become his servants and they blessed him with immense happiness and in return Erios went into the Emerald dream and such was his power that the nightmare disappeared instantly. This made Ysera and the other dragons happy and in return they made a suit of armor made entirely out of Emeralds for Erios. Erios was overjoyed and so he returned to Azeroth and transformed it into the one continents it was originally, before the sundering. The naga were in awe of his power and so they bowed down to him and vowed to help rebuild the world. Erios transformed them back into elves with a mere click of his fingers. He then returned to his palace on Aerie Peak where he continues to rule over everything and everyone.

Wait, you got that last one wrong on a few counts! His name isn't Erios, it's Med'...oh, wait.

Hehe. The shamagadinator is pretty clichéd, I agree. In my opinion, Me'dan is
mainly
a Sue on background, whilst Rhonin is a Sue on his performance and actions.

In my opinion, Me'dan is
mainly
a Sue on background, whilst Rhonin is a Sue on his performance and actions.I agree. From a rant at my blog:By the way...elf/vampire/cyborg/hybrid/zoanthrope ≠ gawdawful Mary Sue. Yes, I'm aware that all of those categories
are
done to death, and that many gawdawful Mary Sues
do
fit into one or more. However, all of the above
can
be done right.
Hell...if Jo Clayton's Serroi had been handled less well,
she'd
probably have been a gawdawful Mary Sue. And little green mutants are somewhat less popular and glamorous than elves, vampires, cyborgs, hybrids, or zoanthropes.
In retrospect, it's a bit ironic that I mentioned "little green mutants," as that arguably also describes Med'an. But I digress.
Anyway, that's probably why Med'an bugs me
less
than Rhonin. He may be, well,
what he is
...but he's uncertain and inexperienced and would flop miserably if no one had his back. Rhonin just kind of wraps himself up in narrative causality, smirking all the while.

Mhm, I think that Me'dan's backstory is damned awful, but like you say; he'd be f*cked without people like Meryl around. Plus, he keeps Thrall safely away from the rank of Guardian, so it's all good. On the other hand, Rhonin is not only what you've mentioned, but if he (by some miracle) happens to make a mistake, he can go back in time and remedy it, even if the Bronze Dragonflight's code of conduct is
not
to fiddle with the timeline.
