However, point a gun at my family, or, better yet, import some nuclear weapons next door and demand that we leave and we are going to have problems.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You realized you just described Israel...
and we are going to have problems. I can completely understand what Israel is doing. HSR, Iran is involved in the inporting of stuff to Palestine. Chocholate, jam, machine guns, and I wouldn't put explosives past them either. Really, you already know this. Let's stop ignoring the elephant in the room.
Because Israel is invading their land? Killing their people? You rant about Israel having a right to defend themselves but don't give two thoughts about the Palestinians.

The question is, if Israel stopped its actions, would Palestine be less violent and 'mood-swingy'? (That's quite an amusing term)
I think a lot of the anger is in the fact that Israel exists at all (at least, in its current location), so probably not.
Israel hates the fact that Palestine exists. Don't blame Palestine for a mutual problem...at least they
say
they're willing to compromise for the time being, unlike Israel.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Oh don't get me wrong, I agree. I was actually pointing out that it's impossible to take the stance that Israel is golden and Palestine is evil... just as it's impossible to do the opposite. I wasn't blaming Palestine, just pointing out that this issue has partial sources
and
partial solutions on
both
sides, and it's silly to act otherwise. Any long term fix will require cooperation (of a magnitude that is likely impossible) from
all
parties involved.
This means that the popular stance that Israel is without flaw and warrants absolute protection and support needs to go... It also means that the idea that it is 'calling for the destruction of Israel' to allow Palestine to exist and operate freely and independently needs to go... And also that Palestine is a "beaten wife" and we need to band together and save them from Israel's dominance... And that Israel is just a bully with nukes and bulldozers trying to push everyone who's not like them out of their homes and land.
None of those stereotypes are 100% true (and none of them are 100% false). Trying to pin blame anywhere is pointless in this situation, and counterproductive to an eventual solution.
