Hascakkin
Fenris Isle
Hascakkin stormed back into the keep, roaring as he entered the main gate - "Leera!". The scythe was hanging on his back and a big pile of herbs was in his hands.

"In here!" Leera roared back and chuckled to herself. "Western wing!"
She had assembled some dusty old glassware and was preparing an alchemical lab, washing some of the items in a bucket of water.

"'ello, darlin'." - grinned Hascakkin, entering the western wing. - "I got plenty of Kingsblood 'ere, and some other herbs, too. And will you just look at what I've found!" - he chuckled, nodding at the tip of the scythe. - "Even your Lich King wouldn't be able to revive that bonesack after your spell, well done!"

"Watch your tongue!" she said, half jokingly. "But smashing a skeleton to bits work most of the time. Now how are your healing potions?"

"No need to get edgy, beautiful, I thought you got used to my wits by now." - smiled Hascakkin, then placed the herbs on the empty spot at the table and reached isnide his robes. - "These are my own special brew, a mix of my own felblood, water from corrupted moonwell and some apples to add a flavor." - he laughed. - "I've got no use of anything else, but if these help, feel free to use all of them."

"Leaving it to me then?" she said and giggled. "I better get started then. Jessara is still sleeping, I think" she continued as she emptied a large jar of water and began picking the leaves and flowers of the Kingsbloods Hascakkin had brought back, putting them in the jar and discarding the stalks.

"I'll leave you three to experiment with - that should be enough. I think I'll spend some time with Jessie - don't worry, I have no intention of waking her up." - Hascakkin placed three vials on the table, bowed graciously and paced out of the room.
Soon, he was already sitting at Jessara's side, their breath and quiet rustling of pages being the only sound that broke the silence as he took out an ancientl-looking tome and began to read it.

Leera Fenwick
Fenris Isle
Leera worked in silence for the better part of an hour, carefully extracting the Kingsblood and slowly adding the other ingredients until the brew turned into the clear, sanguine liquid characterizing the healing potion. She put it aside to cool, then remembered Hascakkin's three vials. "Corrupted water, felblood and apples?" she thought. "Maybe if I..."
She took out a beaker full of the lukewarm healing potion and slowly added a few drops of the "special brew". At the first drop, the potion turned milky and blurry. The second drop caused it to become completely opaque. With the third drop, it lost it's blood red color and changed into a silvery grey, and the fourth drop cleared the brew again. The potion now resembled semi-transparent mercury. Leera smiled to herself, though she wasn't sure what she had created. She pondered for a while, then decided to find out later.
She poured the remaining healing potion into small bottles, rinsed the glassware and put the three vials of Hascakkin's reagent in her robes. She stuffed the flasks in a bag and headed down to the basement.

((Where could have I seen that four-drop scenario? It looks soooo familiar...))
Hascakkin
Fenris Isle
Hascakkin continued reading, thinking about his attitude towards the two women. Surprisingly, he could not yet decide to himself whether he was just using them for his own agenda - or did he grow truely attached to them.
'
So far, so good.
' - he thought and smirked, remembering about the weapon that was now lying beside him.

"Good reading?" Leera suddenly asked lowly from the doorway. She didn't wait for an answer before entering the room and sitting down, her back against the wall. She leaned her head to the side and peered at Hascakkin and the tome.
((I'm too considerate when posting.... 7 minutes to write those 2 lines? xD))

"
Rise and fall of Vek'Hadam and Vek'Garash
, a history book dating back to the times when... mmm, when the Aqir were still one whole empire. You would be surprised to know those insectoids could write something that interesting." - he smiled, almost saying '
my creators
' before remembering that Leera still believed that however powerful and strange he was, he was a human nonetheless.

"And how do you reply to that?" Leera thought. "Oh... yes, very interesting" she said dreamily. She gazed at Jessara for a moment, her thoughts trailing off... "Aqir", she muttered tiredly, realizing she hadn't slept much the last few days.

Hascakkin smiled genttly. He slowly closed the tome and put his right arm, the one without gauntlet, around Leera, urging her to rest her head on his shoulder. - "It has been a long day and both of us deserve some rest.
Sleep
." - he said, adding a slight tint of magic to the last word. He knew Leera would probably be mad at him if she finds out, but it was for her own good.
((Captcha - the humanism))

Jessara Gaunt, Leera Fenwick
Fenris Isle
A few minutes passed, then Jessara woke up. At first she didn't open her eyes, taking her time enjoying the effects of the good rest. She then pulled herself out of the half-dreaming state she was slipping back into and slowly sat up. She saw Leera and Hascakkin sitting against the wall, Leera's head on his shoulder. Both were sleeping, deeply from what she could tell. She lay back again, watching the torchlight flicker on the stone ceiling.
Another half hour passed in silence before anyone moved. This time Leera opened her eyes and found herself leaning over Hascakkin. She blinked a few times, trying to regain vision. "Hello sleepyhead", she whispered when she saw Jessara was awake. They looked at each other and smiled, unsure of what to do. Jessara got up on her feet, tidying up the blankets a little. She then sat down against the wall next to her friend, waiting in silence for Hascakkin to wake up.

Hascakkin's eyes swung open, glowing brightly with violet fire. - "
The secrets of the deep shall remain hidden.
" - he hissed with a thick Nerubian accent, then blinked several times, his eyes slowly returning to normal. He chuckled and said in perfect Common - "Morning, ladies. Hope you had a good sleep, since mine was a bizzare one."

Leera winced noticeably and Jessara jumped high at Hascakkin's outbreak, but when he asked them about their rest they relaxed again, slightly unnerved. "Very", Leera commented on her own short nap. "I feel great", Jessara informed. "I made healing potion", Leera told her, "but don't drink it unless you feel pain or fatigue."

"Don't mind that, just an old wound, so to say." - smiled Hascakkin, hoping to calm the duo down. He slowly stood up and took Jessara's hands in his. - "Hey, good-looking." - he winked at her, then turned his head slightly and spoke to Leera. - "Can't find any magical aftereffects, but I suppose that concerning Fel what is normal for me would be devastating for normal people. So I think you should check it."
