Hascakkin
Alterac/Hillsbrad
"
Defilers, front and center!
"
Six aberrations stood in a line before the warlock, with Jerry in one end of it. Now it was clear that he was the largest and the strongest of the pack, and the most mutated. Hascakkin tapped his fingers and bellowed.
"
Squad! Name yourselves!
"
Jerry was the first to react. He stepped forward and barked - "
Jerry!
", then backed to his place. The others were not doing so well - four let out a "
Whaaaaaat?
" and the last merely glared at Hascakkin.
"Hmmm... I guess the stronger you are, the more brains you've got, oh well. I hope a couple of carnages will fix that. Okay..."
He pointed at the Defiler next to Jerry, who sported four six foot long tentacles. - "
You!
" - "
Yeeees?
" - "
Your name will be Whip, understood?
" - the Defiler made a gesture that vaguely resembled a salute and replied. - "
Whip! Yes, Grand Master!
"
Likewise, three of his companions were named Pincer, Maul and Spike, and the last one, the weakest and the smallest, got a tag Dumbass for now.

"Look, ghouls!" Jessara noticed, and it only took a few seconds for the rest of the undead pack to come in sight.
"Let me through!" Leera said loudly from within the group of withered humans and ghouls. The undead separated a little, forming a corridor. "I see you've taught them some manners!" she said when she came close. She turned around and pointed at three of the former Syndicate members. They willingly came up to her, not that they really knew the meaning of 'objection'.
"Hungry?" Leera asked, expecting the undead to be butchered within seconds.

Spike, who earned his name because of the twisted horns and, well, spikes that grew all over his body attempted to rush forward, but Jerry stopped him.
"
Rotten food... We smell the fresh food, Protected one.
" - hissed Jerry and pointed to the south.

"Yes... there are Horde encampments all over Hillsbrad", Leera said. "Let's see what happens when they infest an orc."
She waved to the undead to follow them as they began heading further south.

"So, this dislexic guy walks into the bra..."
The forsaken deathguard was surprised that he still found such jokes funny. He cackled and replied to his orc companion. - "Not bad, friend, but we'd better..."
The orc would never know what did the forsaken wanted to say, since a clawed tentacle shot through the forsaken's throat, crushing the spine. - "Lok Narash!" - were the last words of the green-skinned warrior.
Jerry tore one arm from the orc's body and devoured it, letting out a loud belch. He threw the rest to Whip, Spike, Pincer and Mauler, while Dumbass had no choice but to feast upon the remnants of the forsaken.
"
More food awaits us.
" - hissed Jerry and Whip nodded in agreement - he managed to claim the majority of the orc's body and was now growing more and more intelligent. - "
Grand Master will be pleased.
" - he howled.
The eyes of Kilrogg were observing the land, transferring the image and sound straight to Hascakkin's mind - and through him to Jessara and Leera, whose hands he was now holding.

The horrible images were transferred straight into the minds of the women, who, despite being used to all sorts of ghastly things, found the way the Defilers treated their victims especially gruesome. 'Jerry' had ripped an orc's head clean off its muscular neck and devoured it whole, its eyes still rolling in their sockets. The other defilers had instantly attacked the body, consuming even the bones while blood were still flowing from the poor creature's neck.
Though somehow, Jessara at the same time found it pleasing to watch the defilers' ruthless hunt. She decided not to mention it for now, thinking Leera would consider it unnecessarily bizarre and Hascakkin... well, she thought she knew what he would think of it, and decided she wouldn't give him the pleasure just yet.

Hascakkin and the Defilers
Hillsbrad
The Defilers reached a watch tower and stormed inside. They were being shot at by archers, but seemed to ignore the pain. A blood elven fire mage threw a pyroblast at Jerry - a gruesome mistake, for the Defiler merely absorbed the flame, his size increasing right away.
After the Horde squad was defeated and the tower was empty save for the Defilers, Jerry said - "
Next time, we shall add some to our ranks - where we are going, food is much more... resilient.
"
"
And who made you the leader, Jerry?
" - hissed Whip after sucking brains out of some troll's skull. - "
I'm still hungry, and I'm sure others are, too. Are you with me, fellas?
"
Jerry spun around and grabbed Whip's neck with his over-muscular hand, giving it a squeeze. - "
Watch your mouth, Whip. I am the Firstborn of our Master, I am in charge here and I will devour you if you object.
" - he let Whip go and exited the tower. - "
Hurry up, the food must be already preparing for our arrival.
"
"
We've not settled everthing, Jerry.
" - whispered Whip, quiet enough for the other Defilers not to hear him - but not quiet enough for the Eyes of Kilrogg.

"This could become messy", Leera remarked in her usual calm tone. "Place your bets, people."
"Should we follow?" wondered Jessara. "They're quite far away already."

"We could occupy that tower and send the mindless after the kids." - chuckled Hascakkin, heading to the tower and urging the females to follow him.
The Defilers
Tarren Mill
"
Rotten food again...
" - hissed Whip disappointedly when the squad approached the Horde settlement. Without further ado, they charged on.
...
...
...
"
Brethren! Help me!
" - yelled Jerry.
The majority of the Horde was wiped out, and those who survived locked themselves in the chapel. Jerry tried to attack it - only to be blasted by simultaneous attacks of priests, archers and frost mages - the Horde already figured out that it was useless to assault the Defilers with fel, fire or shadow. Whip chuckled when he heard the Firstborn calling for help. - "
Nobody is going anywhere. Our glorious commander may very well hold their attacks while we are hunting down anybody left here - I am not going to leave our backs exposed.
" - he hissed, addressing his fellow Defilers - aside from Pincer and Dumbass there were already thirty more. Maul and Spike fell to the Horde, and so did about fifteen new recruits - but Whip did not care, and neither did Hascakkin. Dumbass looked at the direction of Jerry and muttered. - "
So, who's dumb now, jerk?
" - he now possessed long, curved bone blades coming out of his upper pair of arms, and Hascakkin already decided to rename him Slash - a decision he told the females about right away.

"Good idea. Although I doubt a few zombies would do much... the tower it is", Leera said, breaking the connection to Hascakkin. The images stopped. She commanded the ghouls to search the tower ahead of them, just to be safe. All three began walking in the direction of the guard tower, listening to the distant screams.

"
Whip... help me... food!
" - murmured Jerry. He was badly injured and was quickly losing sanity. Slowly, he limped away from the chapel. Halfway to Whip Jerry fell on one knee and coughed blood. Whip and Slash came up to him, the former embracing him, as if trying to comfort.
"
Whip... food...
" - begged Jerry. Whip nodded to Slash and helped Jerry to stand up. - "
Long live the Firstborn.
" - said Whip wickedly. Jerry gasped in disbelief, and then Slash beheaded him. The new Firstborn Defiler picked up the body of his commander, using it as a shield, and roared, the sound of his inhuman voice shattering the windows in the chapel. - "
CHARGE!
"

"Attack!" Leera whispered. The undead accompanying them immediately responded, though mostly to a her thoughts. They poured out of the tower, joining in the attack against Tarren Mill. Only a few ghouls and a withered bandit sorcerer remained.

The Defilers
Tarren Mill
"
Ah, the fodder has arrived, how fortunate.
" - hissed Whip, earning a malicious chuckle from Slash and Pincer. Out of the ranks of Defilers two stronger ones emerged, one resembling the late Maul - over-sized, thick-skinned to the point of scaled, with small head and four big arms ending with fists that looked more like stone orbs, the other resembling Spike - with numerous bone growths all over his body that had a nasty tendency to fly out and pierce the Defiler's enemies. Since all other Defilers more or less resembled these five archetypes, Hascakkin decided to split them likewise.
Several seconds later, Whip spoke, receiving a mental command from Hascakkin. - "
Let the fodder exhaust our enemies - Maul, Spike, since you are the most endurant here, prepare your subordinates to cover us. Slash, Pincer, go for the roof - I take it that your claws and bone scythes are more then enough to cut through it and launch a surprise attack. I'll stay behind with other whips, so as to watch your backs and send reinforcements when needed. Onward.
"
Slash let out a long tongue, licked his face and punched Pincer slightly. - "
I bet my boys will cheese ten times as much kills as yours.
" - the latter clenched his claws and replied. - "
A bet it is, then. The one with the lesser amount of kills will only eat rotten food from our spoils today.
"

(So what's actually going on in the Aftermath? I never followed the A20 game and haven't really bothered to look at the Aftermath either. And is there a spesific theme there apart from healing the world and "everything is good, let's be merry"?)

((Like you Krutos, I have some trouble following the story of Aftermath. Is there anything going on at all? Heh, I'd love an RP set in the past instead of the future, but most others only seem to go for the post-cataclysm theme.))

Locronos
Arathi
"Kill them all, you say?" Locronos smiled and leaned closer to the prisonner. "I can smell the magic on them." He whispered.
Suddenly Locronos had grabbed a gun from one of the gaurds. It was a beautiful golden revolver. Fully loaded with mithril slugs. In the drake's grasp they began to charge with arcane energy.
Locronos whipped around, the gun pointed at a forsaken in armor. "Like that one." He said, firing the round straight through the forsaken's brain. The smile was still on his face. "And that one." He said the smile growing wider. He began laughing as two more shots were fired. Four laid dead and Locronos could small them all.
He whipped back around, the gun pointed at the prisonner. "Show me this 'Arch-mage' and we shall see how he fares."
