the other curious thing is that the current beta glove enchant Gnome-Matic Phase Fingers - Permanently attaches gnome-matic phase finger technology to a pair of gloves, allowing a skilled engineer to increase their haste rating by 340 for 12 sec. The gloves can only be activated every minute.
is the same as the current level 80 one despite the combat ratings being vastly inflated.
my guess is that we're going to see a lot of iteration on all this and it's probably too early to start planning professions.

double post aaaaah!
Level 10 abilties:
Warlock - Destruction
Conflagrate
Destruction Warlock (+hit, pushback reduction)
Warlock - Demonology
Summon Felguard
Demonology Warlock (+hit, pushback reduction)
Warlock - Affliction
Unstable Affliction
Affliction Warlick (Bane and Curse GCD = 1sec, +hit, pushback reduction)
so they
did
go for felguard for demo O.o
of course it makes sense but then the idea of demonology warlocks getting the pet they'll use forever at level 10 seems a bit crazy. the locks specialising in demons won't need to go and do the demon questlines to get the VW, succy and felhunter.
UA and conflag make sense.
bane is the bit that interests me most i think.

Hmm still concerned about soul link, as a pvp affliction lock, it is still easy to get while not missing out on too much. However without the 30% damage reduction from improved Health Funnel I hope the pet scaling will make for a more sturdy pet.
From a pve standpoint I am still pleased with all the changes :)

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I was kind of forced to take a useless talent in the first tiers of demo (improved funnel), and then pass up on a usefull talent in the destro tree (impr. SF / Emberstorm) for my PvE spec. The f*ck man, so not cool.
O yeah, and Bane is waaaaaaay down on destro, so no chance in affli or demo getting that one :(
And where's my demon bolt?

Why not fmatt?
I agree having to pick up pretty situational talents seems a bit odd at the moment, but its still the start of beta.
As for demon bolt, they have to hold some of the cool stuff back till release I guess?

I was under the impression Demon Bolt was going to be a trainer spell not a talent point that gave a spell?
Also I don't see UA or the Felguard or Conflag on there at all. Did I miss something or aren't they supposed to be the level 10 spell talents?
Ever since they first said Hellfire was going to be *the* demo aoe I was fairly excited. But with that Imp. Hellfire talent it looks like alot more fun. However it does seem a little less obvious how they are making the different aoe's more attactive to different specs. There seems to be no obvious damage increasing talents for hellfire, RoF or seed. But there is for the new one. Seems fairly contradictory to what has been said but it is still beta. Things may change still.
Are we aware yet of what the % chance is on the Impending Doom talent?
Also as they said they were hoping for (basing this purely off what I can see on the tree) the Doomguard and Infernal seem much more viable now. Which is nice, to me, nothing screams "Be afraid" like a Doomguard charging you down.
Having looked at the three trees, purely from a pve perspective destro is sexy as hell, demo looks like it could be fun, and afflic is dissapointing. I sincerly hope the afflic tree is not finished yet because if that's it I won't be using it. Unless I suddenly get the mad, insane urge to go pvp.
And on that... while in demo and destro there is a mix of new and old talents that make them exciting, afflic doesn't appear to have any new talents. It's almost like someone when they were making these trees said "Tanking classes have a dedicated tank spec now, let's make warlocks have a dedicated pvp spec!"
Of course this is just my take on it. And this is my first time witnessing an expansion as a player of the game so if anything I've said is horribly wrong feel free to rant and rave about it.
Edit: One thing I only just thought of though is that with these much smaller trees theres very little room for experimentation. At first glance theres one way to do the majority of your points and then the rest don't matter what they go on.

Yup.

just got up and played with the calculators and agree with almost all fmatt's analysis.
destro works nicely. affliction isn't a fun experience to place your points (too many throw away points to move on) and demo has too much going on.
it's beta so things will move on a lot from here (i imagine they rushed something out to get opinions and start the iteration process).
this is from the beta patch notes:
While this is a first pass on all of the talent trees, death knight, druid, paladin,
warlock
, Arcane mage, and Assassination rogue trees are not as far along as other specializations.
too early to despair. i have no doubt things will vastly improve.

I'm loving the way they're doing the new talents. My focus is always PvP, and I'm seeing excelent possibilities with both Demo and Destro. Affliction have too much useless talents that you must get to go further in the tree.
But, remember, that's the first build of beta. We still have around 6 months of work.
Right now, I'm loving Demo. Immolate + Hellfire + Immolation Aura is going to be pretty badass in BGs.

That is the link that was posted in the comments for the latest Wowhead blog entry. The talents trees show requirements unlike the other current mmo-champion tree. Its worth noting that Demonology is even more bloated now that requirements are present.
Edit: Ksero beat me to it, somehow missed his post >_<

Do keep in mind that Immo Aura might go away in Cata, since they are reworking the meta abilities.
No idea why you mention Immolate in there either. In Cata, it'll be Hand of Gul'dan + Hellfire (and maybe a demon aoe abillity, who knows?)

I might have possibly done this as well--only not quite maniacally considering I envisioned the animation for this to look almost like... um... fiery farts on the move...
