#1 reason... price $$$
4 Dream Shards and 4 Eternal Airs are much less expensive (as well as being easier to gather) than 10 Infinite Dust, 2 Greater Cosmic Essence, 2 Dream Shards, and 4 Abyss Crystals.
You serious? I don't even need to explain why gold isn't the issue here.

Ok, did they change the Dodge mechanics? I dont remember Dodge being effected by Agil. I thought it was Defense that effected Dodge

Agility gives ap crit and dodge Leu
Than Im thinking of something else.
But Agil seems to help us out more. I prefer Agil for that reason alone.

There is no such thing as a hunter melee weapon, only leftovers that from others. Even the best pre raid weap, the orca hunter harpoon is good for all dps classes that use 2h weaps, purely based on the amount of hit on it. Feel free to sim it out.
Same with Hersir's greatspear. Blame blizz, but in most cases agi weaps are better itemized than str equivalents and even when the str one is better, it's not by much. Search for the battered hilt in the forums and you'll see a bajillion threads saying the same thing, pick the agi one.
With Arpen going away and itemization getting better as a result, we'll only have to pray to not have a feral in our midst to take the weaps away from us.

Top end Hunters aren't Dual Wielding? where does that come from?
That may have been true in Ulduar and ToC but not so for ICC weapons.
Take a look at
This Comparison
of a good Top End DW set versus the only two viable top end 2H weapons.
Note there are other one-hand weapons with the same stats or with Hit on them, which can also work well.
with DW you get more Agility and Armor Penetration, whereas with the 2Hs you get more AP (less so if you enchant +65 AP) but otherwise the Haste and Stam and Melee DPS don't have as much DPS value.
Based on that at the very least Dual Wielding is a viable alternative to Two handers for the best available weapons.
I have to agree with Daefaroth on this one......all depends on your needs for enchants, and what drops for you. I am dual wielding simply for the hit/Crit enchants at this time (though I may drop one and go Agil shortly, got some new gear).
