I've noticed a strange trend among all my metal-head friends.
We all like Lilly Allen. It's *!@#ing weird. What do?
Now this may go rather contrary to what I usually post, I am a great lover of reggae. It was my parents music of choice when they were growing up, and what I was exposed to from a very young age. It's melodic, pleasant on the ears, and more often then not deep. There are thousands of songs about freedom, or life philosophies, and so on and so forth, but I don't think I hear a lot of "I'm rich look at me!"
Small Axe - Bob Marley
I think this song really shows off the wit of Marley. In a heavy Jamaican accent, "
Big Three
" sounds like "Big Tree."
Buju Banton - Untold Stories
Moar.
Speaking of Amy Winehouse, there's this brilliant band of like 90 year old Jamaican's that do amazing covers.
Like this one.
This
is great too.
Also,
This is a movie I greatly recommend. If you can understand what they're saying. Even the subtitles requires a basic knowledge of Jamaican Slang.

Blackmore's Night is an amazing band. Why have I never heard of them before? I really liked the song "25 years" by them.

I do too. I think it's because she's hot? No, it can't be that, I think plenty of hot pop singers are terribad. Her songs are pretty fun though.

Isn't it?
Gogo YYY's.
Also, Franz Ferdinand the band is perty good.
And nothing annoys me more than when I ask my friends "Do you know Queens of the Stone Age?"
And they go "Yeah, 3's and 7's is a great song."
Well it is, but it makes it pretty clear you just played guitar hero and decided you like the band without ever actually having listened to them.
