No question about it, the "non-metally" songs they do are amazing, like that and
The Bard's Song
.
+1 rep. 'Tis amazing.

About Van Canto: aside from their awesome cover songs, they also make
songs of their own
^_^

I love the music of Crisis Core; all the best songs of Final Fantasy 7, but remixed into amazing versions of themselves, as well as the game just having some great original creations as well.

Good Riddance by Green Day
21 Guns by Green Day
You just went back to "Neutral" from "Honored" with Evgeni's Black Dragon faction ^^. Green Day were good once, but they sold out. They are in music solely for the money. So they started playing the cr*p a lot of teenagers like, and did not stay true to their roots. Same goes for Linkin Park, and (sadly) Bullet for my Valentine.
You consider those two songs crap? I think they're two very heartfelt songs. I remember hearing Good Riddance for the first time when I was 7, and it was powerful even then.
I don't like judging songs by just who they are written by. Every song I believe should be able to stand or fall on its own merit.

Eh, never could get into Greenday.
Also, Muse = win. Way better than Radiohead.

So, last night, went to the Tecumseh Cornfest, and watched Our Lady Peace live for their last summer tour spot.....and
IT WAS AWESOME!
Second favorite Canadian band, and they did not disappoint last night. Hour and forty minutes of pure heaven, and that I got to see them with my girlfriend was just great, as she likes the band too. Seriously, awesome night last night.

Icarus by Mythos is a really cool, laid back piece. It's really dreamy and surreal, and perfect for playing while driving through mountains with clouds all around.
Yes, I know this from experience.

Gotten really into Breaking Benjamen, Skillet and 3 Day's Grace. I'm not one for nu-metal (ew), or really even mainstream rock, but these are still fantastic bands.

BB and Skillet I like, but 3 Day's Grace...
Really?
They're the least interesting band in the world, with laughably cliché, predictable, and emo lyrics, and equally simplistic-in-a-bad-way instrumentals. I tried to like them for about a week when I was maybe 10. Bleh.

I enjoy them >.>
It's rather surprising, because I hate most bands like them. There's just something about them that I enjoy.
