Schools of magic

Just bored and looking for a little debate.
So, what is the most powerful of the schools of magic? I believe the schools we have now are Holy, Arcane, Fire, Frost, Nature, Shadow and Fel.
And also, which is darker: Shadow or Fel? As I see it, Shadow is mainly the opposite of Holy or Light and Fel is the demon magic.

I'm afraid it's not that easy. From what I've read (mostly wowwiki) magical energy comes from various sources: arcane magic from the ley lines, nature magic from spirits, and holy energy can be seen as emanated from beings of light (Naaru for example). Now fire and frost magic, for example, are just
effects
of arcane energy being manipulated. Fel magic is just another side of arcane magic, provided by worship of demons.
You should also consider the various forms of spellcasting: The mages manipulate arcane energy in a controlled fashion. Warlocks take the same arcane energy and forcefully bend it to their will. A shaman communicates with the elemental spirits and
borrows
their power, while a shadow priest's powers come from within the caster himself.
To answer one of your questions: Neither shadow nor fel magic is innately "dark", from what I've understood. But fel magic comes from "evil" practices, while shadow magic isn't necessarily evil in nature. Fel magic, on the other hand, is not automatically destructive, but one can argue that shadow
is
.
You should take this with a pinch of salt though, since much of it is my interpretation of what I've read.
There's also a nice quote on the subject: "Between the light and dark there are shadows, and those shadows have powers you have yet to see."

Frost and Fire also exist as Elemental magic, what Arcanists do is "mimic" the elemental or nature magic to produce their own spells.

So, Necromancy magic is.... fel?
Or is it something completely differiant? And where does it come from?

As far as I know, necromancy isn't fel. I think it derives from shadow magic or arcane magic, one of those two.

Necromancy, as said in the article I linked, is part of the:
Schools
Cutting across the categories of arcane and divine spells are the eight schools of magic. These schools represent the different ways that spells take effect.WoWRPG 255
* Abjuration - one who specializes in abjuration would be known as an abjurer.
* Conjuration - one who specializes in conjuration is known as a conjurer.
* Divination - one who specializes in divination would most likely be known as a diviner.
* Necromancy (aka necromantic magic)- one who specializes in necromancy is known as a necromancer.
* Enchantment - one who specializes in enchanting is known as an enchanter.
* Transmutation - one who specilizes in transmutation would be known as a transmuter
* Evocation - one who specializes in evocation is known as an evoker. Queen Azshara is the inventor of most evocation spells.S&L 76
* Illusion - one who specializes in illusion is known as an illusionist.
* Universal - Spell falls under all eight categories. Not a true school.

I guess that
this
pretty much is a proof that necromancy is an offshot of arcane magic - and it's different from fel, since fel is strongly connected with fire, while necromancy is more about shadow and, to an extent, ice.

Fel is arcane that has been corrupted with demon blood.
So Fel is inherently evil/corrupting.

Arcane is inherently corrupting, although draenei are immune to its corruption (courtesy of the wind chimes).

Fel is most definitely more evil than Shadow.
Shadow is mere power, like Arcane. It is a tool, like a sword, or a bow, and it can be used for good or evil, but is not innately attributed to either.
Fel is derived from demons, and is innately evil.

Arcane is not really inherently corrupting, as you have to keep using it. With fel, just absorbing it/using it once corrupts you, because it's tainted with demon blood.
And the draenei aren't immune to arcane corruption because of the naaru. When they were eredar, they were master arcanists (arguable the most powerful), but it was corruption directly from Sargeras that turned some of them into man'ari. The naaru had nothing to do with their resistance to arcane corruption (though it certainly helps now).

Well, like I said above, arcane is corrupting, but you have to keep using it. But yes, shadow is basically a tool. It's the opposite of the Light, and just like the Light can be used for good and evil (not Burning Legion evil, but Scarlet Crusade evil), so can the Shadow. It just so happens that the most prominent shadow priests are forsaken.

Think of Arcane like a drug. When used in appropriate doses, it can solve problems and benefit the user. When used recklessly and without being checked, it can cause problems.
Anesthetics and other pain inhibiting drugs have benefited mankind immensely for their uses in surgery and other medical issues (pain, for one thing), and yet thousands of people become addicted, overdose, and die, every year.
Narcotics are tools. They are not innately good or evil. They are useful, they are addicting, and they can be deadly.
Just like arcane magic.

although draenei are immune to its corruption
People said this before but I fail to see any source that confirms this. Only
Blue Dragons
are immune to the arcane corruption and even them don't know why.
Gnomes too apparently, according to the RPG books Delt, but that might be due to the over all racial capabilities of the gnomes(ie mechanognomes combined with their cheery outlook on life). The Draenei are considered immune to the corruption, but that's probably more to do with the fact that for 20 thousand odd years at the side of the Naaru have cut back on the main symptoms of the arcane corruption.
Look at the High Elves; one of the requirements of them for the RP was that each 'day' they would have to meditate to get their Hunger under control and keep them from attempting to feed on all sources of magic around themselves... and the Blood Elves had a larger problem with that.

Speaking about gnomes, can Wilfred Fizzlebang be considered corrupted by fel he is constantly using?
