It is quite possible. Please try not to access the game from a computer that you are not familiar with or trust explicitly. Please invest in your own authenticator to prevent this from happening again.
As for your problems, please contact Blizzard to have the authenticator removed and your account restored. Also review the following links for future reference.
Please take some time and review these links:

I wouldnt advise it. That is an extreame situation and a last resort. Also, there is no way to prove that it was compromised from that specific computer. It could have been a link that was clicked. Or a program that was used one time a long time ago. Just because the account was locked out today does not mean it was compromised today. It could have happened 2 weeks or even a month ago.

Wow, i didnt realize that. But still, there are free application versions for phones.

Well depending how good you are at arguing you could call blizzard and raise hell. I got a free month when I got hacked, got to keep all my items, and all the items the hacker farmed!
Just be very careful about raising hell. I work in customer service and you can get a lot more out of somebody (most of the time) when your nice. Most of the time you get stuck with asshats with a chip on their shoulder and you get sick and tired of dealing with them, so a nice person is a novelty.

Very unlikely...these crooks are not going to sit on your stolen info..they are going to act fast...usually on a Friday night after Blizz offices are closed for the weekend. You can check your browser history for the past week websites you have been too. It will most likely be a WoW related website of some kind...(trust me..Porn site visitors who end up downloading a keylogger are not being targeted for their wow account...those crooks want tangible stuff like credit cards and bank account info.) Truth be told...accounts are usually comprised solely on the user end. Most of us allow family members and friends have access to our account...who may respond to those in game whispers. Gold/account buyers. Downloaded WoW related stuff. Even guild websites can be used to compromise accounts, you would be stunned how many people use their in-game password for them.
On a side note...I've always stressed that Blizz should incorporate an e-mail link to access your account if you chose to activate this sort of redundant protection.
The same way, when you need to retrieve a password that a website sends an email link that you have to click before accessing your account.

I also got hacked sometime between last night and this morning. And since they put an authenticator
on it i cant login to talk to a GM. My account was also hacked like 2 months ago but then i could log in and then i got all my stuff back via mail in just a couple of hours.
Probably will take forever now when i have to do the mailthingy and ive heard several more that got hacked so they are probably quite busy for the next days..
Anyone got any good advice in what program to get to search for keyloggers?

I wouldn't recommend Norton to my worst enemy. Well, maybe I would.
Read the thread in my signature. About the best security you can get for free or otherwise:
Malwarebytes' Antimalware
Spybot S&D
Avira Antivir (PROVEN better than every paid antivirus except G-Data)
COMODO
BlueGem Keystroke Encryption
SnoopFree Privacy Shield (if you're running WinXP)
Firefox w/ NoScript, AdBlock Plus, and WOT

I use Norton 2010 and I really never have any problem on my window 7.
I run back up sweeps using malwarebytes and it confirms what Norton sweep reports.
I also run ThreatFire. It is a redundant spyware/virus protection that works real well without conflicting.
Keyscrambler...encrypts what ever you are typing when you are online.
This new twist of adding an authenticator to hacked accounts has me a bit perplexed.
Usually just changing the password was enough..I don't see it giving the hackers anymore time
using your account...strange.
On another note..it would seem to me that the majority if not all of the perpetrators of account hacking are the gold seller and as much as nnnnnooooooo one ever admits to using them ..they are out there spamming constantly. They have to be the same hackers whispering all those spams of account suspensions and free mounts..etc. Blizz is just going to have to bite the bullet and clamp down on how gold is transferred. Also it's not like Blizz can't see who the large gold holders are...these goldsellers aren't holding the gold in secretive swiss bank accounts.
This laundering of gold has to have some visible pattern to it.
I get the feeling that Blizz treats account theft the way the local police treat car theft...just file a report and that's it.

Like others who've posted in here, I was hacked as well. Never clicked on those bogus links or bought gold, never used my game email for anything else. AVG and Malwarebytes couldn't find anything for a keylogger or trojan or anything of that nature.
I was lucky with Customer Support though, got through with ease and was only on hold for about 20 mins. Robert, the guy I talked to, told me that Curse Client is notoriously weak and that Blizzard suspects a lot of people are getting hacket through that. I don't know if Curse has weak programming or not, but I did delete it and deleted my account there as well.

To change your password, as long as you still have access to the registered email, it's no problem. However, with the Authenticator added, depending on time of day or night, it could take you hours to get the account locked down so the gold seller can't get back in. Also, when you change your password, you get an email saying so, and link to click if you didn't request this action.
