Threat generation is the most important thing a tank does and the bear does it the worst. If threat generation is just a "matter of muscle memory" then how is it bears are not the best at it since they have the least things to do? Too often I find DPS having to hold back because bears just can not generate the treat needed to maintain aggro. A tank that can't hold aggro is just poor DPS with a lot of life.
How many raids fights can a bear afford to switch forms it to use combat rez? One maybe two if you have great luck. Once the person pops they are standing in what is probably the single worst place to be in a fight, right in front of the boss. 90% of the time a bear goes to use combat rez the bear just ends up dead and the group wipes. Innervate is a great ability. Out of the 4 possible types of druids the bears is in the worst possible position to use these abilities.
While i hate being dragged into Feral Druid discussion on the Warrior boards (again), i do not want to leave this unreplied.
Dude, what the hell. From that i can see you have no experience with good feral tanks. There is NO tank that does not do enough aggro to hold a boss against DPS. I have certainly seen more fights than you from a feral tanks perspective, so please, do not contradict me. Let me get you straight now.
Bears do awesome TPS. I have known very few tanks i could not beat easilly. This is subjective though, doing more TPS than tanks i know is not really an argument. I can easilly outthreat a warrior doing 12k DPS, with about a 20% reserve on my side. We do know warriors do crazy threat and have no 100% threat dump, dont we.
In how many fights can a druid use combat rez? One or two? Are you bloody kidding me? There are SIX fights only in ICC when tanks switch the boss with each other, and when a druid, even when he is a main tank, can safely combat rez or innervate without any threat. AND you can combat rez in any fight, if you know when to shift out of form, and your healers know you are gonna do it. I have succesfully combat rezzed a healer on Lich King 25m like 40 minutes ago, while main tanking the boss in P2. There is only one fight where i can not combat rez anyone, and that is on Princes 25m, both normal and heroic. Taldaram and Valanar would kill me fast if i shifted out.
And no i am not a unique superman. The druid boards are full of skilled feral tanks that can do high TPS and combat rez people mid-fight.

Agree totally on what Thror say here.
I never experience any TPS issues what so ever when tanking ICC whit our guild. I always stay way over the DPS in terms of TPS. And the AOE whit 2 T10 is just of the scale. No other tank can hold agro agenst me whit 5+ mobs.
Bottom line is that druid's don't have any TPS issues at current time.
And I really don't think any tank in the game right now have TPS issues unless they are heavily undergeard or don't play there class right.
Sorry for my crappy English. I know!

So have you made that goddamn warrior already, or are you still hesitating? Dont be a pussy man, making a new character is not like taking a mortgage. If you want to try something out, then TRY it out, do not ask for subjective oppinions on the forums. Stop asking people to make simple decisions for yourself.

Don't be such an ass. I just wanted some nice reading. Don't spend so much time trying to get ppl down and stick to the questions. If you don't have anything good to say don't say it at all. <--- "are you going to quote me on that one?" lol
And my Warrior is lvl 42 now and he rocks. I'm playing my druid too ofc, and my 80 hunter 80 pally and so on.
Peace!
