When the druid class preview first came I was excited since it looked like Balance druid would finally be able to hold their own in pvp and I would finally give it a try, but my poor chicken heart continues to be hurt as they just keep removing/ downgrading more and more those great ability. :'(
Seems like you have not seen the changes made to our talents with entangling roots...
Plus silence...
It's just deadly.

Overgrowth is gone.
Awww man, I wanted instant cast, aoe, spammable roots. :(
It totally wasn't overpowered at all.
Oh Blizzard, why? For sure it was not!
At least give us something :<

feral charge glyph looks lackluster if i read it right...-2 sec from cat and -1 sec from bear, seems like a waste of a glyph unless there is absolutely nothing else (both are still 30 and 15sec CD in cata)

Heh, didn't even notice they lowered the feral charge cd for bear to 15 secs o_O how the hell did I miss that?
I seem to be slacking atm, feral bear charge already IS on a 15 sec cd. Wtf, and I always thought it was 30 secs .... *hides in shame*
Anywho, the glyph is indeed pretty meh. 1 sec off a 15 secs cd is ok, but 2 secs off a 30 sec cd is not enough really. But we get Skull Bash as well now, and any sensible feral will take the Brutal Impact talent to lower its cd, so there will be plenty of charging to go around ^_^ Besides, it's not like we have anything else that's better or worth considering (the faerie fire glyph for 5mans ... at best)

Heeyyy. I was playing around in the cata talent calculator and was looking at the glyphs. One glyph in particular jumped at me.
http://cata.wowhead.com/item=48720#comments
First of all it a major glyph(prime is the new major), not really anything else usefull there. I'm not sure about the energy-to-damage conversion of cata, but I can say for sure that if I had a free slot now I'd probably take it.
Here a calculator showing DPS glyphs the way I think it'll play.

Yeah, I think the FB glyph will be pretty necessary to be able to take full advantage of
Nom Nom Nom
. There really aren't that many options for Major glyphs are there. I actually hope we don't find out that running out to FC->Ravage on cooldown is how we have to play
:)
.
However, read these three:
Tiger's Fury
|
Glyph of Tiger's Fury
|
King of the Jungle
|
Primal Madness
. Tiger's Fury is now a flat damage increase for 6 seconds. Primal Madness causes TF to increase our energy to 120, filling the increased amount when it's increased just like SI / Last Stand does with health. King of the Jungle causes TF to further increase our energy by 60, to a total of 100 energy. We would use it at or below 20 energy. Being able to do that more often is compelling, no? Is 3 seconds compelling enough to drop, say, Savage Roar? 5% more damage always on just white attacks vs. 15% more damage every 27 seconds for 6 seconds on all abilities.

if you did drop sr for tigers fury...over a 5min fight using TF every cd you'd gain one extra usage, right?
vs having 5% more damage for the 5 mins on white attacks. idk, could use some testing on ptr/beta but TF might come out ahead since it's 15% to all damage and SR is being nerfed to only affect white hits.

Also, just confirmed this:
http://www.wowhead.com/forums&topic=167930.6&p=2323295#p2323246
TF will persist THROUGH Berserk, now. I'm nearly convinced, myself.
The other thing to consider is with TF being so pivotal, we would want to make sure that Rip refreshes happen during it. It would take some math, but I could see that losing several ticks of Rip to a refresh (in terms of DPE) would outweigh waiting so that the following ticks happen at +15%. Also, over at EJ I'm seeing some people talk about SR being up *all the time* not really being the case anymore. Yes, definitely more than most of the time, but if you need the energy to synch Rip with TF, for example, then letting SR drop for a moment isn't going to be bad. It is just white damage, after all.

There's also a new Major glyph for TF, that reduces the cooldown by 3 sec. It's in the updated list I've been working on this morning.

I was referring to it in that post.

3 secs off TF's cd ... sounds like situational use to me. Will be tricky in movement heavy fights. Or short fights (although they rarely last less than 5 mins).
SR may only affect white hits, but aren't white hits like 50% of our damage in Cata? Or did I read that wrong again?

Yeah, it really depends on distribution. There's a good case for TF, but practice and numbers might back SR. I just hope people start actually reading the tooltip for Primal Madness. If I see one more post that says PM is crap, I'm going to rip my face off.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the Druid forums are full of animals.

the only thing in today's bluepost:
Bear Form now increases threat by 200%, up from 125%
Maybe it'll make 4.0.1 somewhat bearable (pun not intended) ...

Hahaha, "Bearable". Awesome stuff.
