I have a question about mana regen in cata.
Blizz stated that dps classes don't need any regen from spirit during combat as they will have some built-in mechanics for that. Still I cant see that mechanics for many classes. Example: fire mages. So how does it actually work?
What did they remove evocation and mana gems in cata?

So have the new quests become more memorable? Is anyone sure the new quests aren't ALSO going to suck?
I love them. Some great, memorable lore-related quests and some hilarious comedy ones. Also lots of cameos from old vanilla characters (like Azuregos and the nightmare drakes) in them. They're not rubbing Deathwing and Cho'gall in your face like they did with the Lich King, but you're still introduced to them while questing which is a good thing IMO.
Sure, admittedly there are some boring grind quests - Desolace is full of them and I hated the part of that zone which I tried, but hopefully it's either been changed or it gets more interesting later on. (think I had like 6 quests in one of the Satyr places which were all more or less grind quests, and also quest to kill something like 50 naga <.<) There isn't anywhere near as many of those quests as in vanilla though...
Each zone feels a little bit like the DK zone or at least like parts of the Northrend zones. (in that you follow a story rather than just walking around between camps and killing 10 mobs here and there) Stonetalon has a brilliant storyline for Horde side now where you join "Krom'gar's army" and rise in rank within it as you quest, for instance. (I'm sure you've seen some video with the "You've been dismissed..." event)

3 DAYS. that's what I'm giving you, 3 days.
when cataclysm is released, play it for 3 days, then come back here and say to our face that the new quests suck :P
point in case, check out SUPER AWESOME quests like "welcome to the machine" and "the day deathwing came"
the new quests are so amazing, fun, awesome, cool, memorable, and unique, people are actually gonna be SAD to get to 58, because that means going to the outland and northrend quests for the next 22 levels.
the catalysm quests are so impresive in scope and epicness, they make the TBC and WOTLK quests as thrilling as watching glue dry.
(I'm sure you've seen some video with the "You've been dismissed..." event)
:P I've managed to gather enough patience to not watch it, I don't wanna ruin the storyline, I mean I did saw the ending (with garrosh and krom'gar) but the full quest-chain I've not read it or seen it. I'm sure it's as epic as others tell me.

When you hit level 81, are they around the same numbers as the stat gains from 79-80?

Is there anything you purposefully went back and did multiple times just because it was funny, or to re-experience its epicness, or was just fun to do over and over again?

Hey guyss, got another question :D
When do shadow priests obtain the chance to get shadow orbs? some people are saying it starts at level 10, and some are saying it starts at 75. Just wonderinng cuz ive seen lvl 10's in vids with them, but wowhead says it requires lvl 75
Thanks
You get a skill from your trainer at 75 called Mastery, but I was able to get shadow orbs before buying it on my beta priest so I have no idea what the plans for them are right now. The trainer-bought Mastery might be for the stat so you don't just go all in mastery gems in BC content and get really OP or something. :-p
@wintercoat: Trying to avoid that since I know I'll be doing it all over again when the pre-release patch comes. Admittedly though, I did do the goblin starting area twice. Worgen one as well.

is there a quest chain in beta where you try too turn the stone statue king magni bronzebeard back too a dwarf?
Sorry to say but I think he's a goner. Doubt they added the council just to bring him back again. (I'll check if I get the time though)
By the way: Another worgen customization thing... Worgen human form has been changed to be "half-Worgen". Fur on everything other than the head... Wouldn't be surprised if this is a placeholder. There's a really freaky-looking
Worgen-human hybrid
face though... O.O
Let's test my programing knowledge... As far as i know, mob look works like this:
3 components: the wireframe (or skeleton, basically defines shape, stature and movement), the skin ( basically a full body suit put on top of the wireframe) and the actual stats and abilities. The first 2 make up the model. Now, if my eyes don't trick me, our little hybrid is basically worgen skin on human wireframe, so the long wolfy face has been slammed to a flat one... Funny.
yup, it's pretty much a bug, but it does looks hillarious.

Is the worgen Jay Leno chin a bug?
It is a bug, it is the facial hair only that it has the same color as the skin of the model (the eyebrows also are skin-colored).

Any word on worgen travel/aquatic/moonkin/flight forms?
Nope, they're the same on beta and I think they said they aren't changing them.
1) An small coast above the Eastern Plaguelands (Gnub asked this question in the first pages of the thread) Think I responded with an image back on that early page but that place is justempty, flat ground anyways.
2) A long coastline east of Thelsamar and Wetlands. That's where the Twilight Highlands are located. Great zone. ;-)
3) Two small round zones west and east of Burning Steppes. I'll be honest - I can't see this one on the current beta map. Has possibly been removed or baked into the zone.
4) Currently there are two islands in the ocean between Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. If one of them is Kezan, what is the other one? That's the Lost Isles I believe. (you start out in Kezan and after "certain events" take place you get to the Lost Isles.

I actually haven't tried leveling a profession from scratch on the beta, and they don't go past 450 at the moment so haven't been able to level the ones I already had maxed out either. :-/ Since no other prof changes have happened yet I doubt it though.
And well, herbalism will give a +haste buff in addition to the heal (or maybe you get two skills with shared CD, can't remember) so it won't be as terrible for PvE anymore. Engineering seems fun in Cata though... new pets and supposedly a smaller version of the hotrod from the goblin starting area. (will be the new Hog I suppose) Also customizable goggles...
