Skimmed for a while, didn't see this:
Is there anything to prevent flight over capital cities? Are leaders given some measure of protection against air raids from forty angry players in search of a
bear
?
Thus far it's been open air above all the cities. I will say that, however, after mucking around in Ironforge today, I noticed the area near the bank and Auction House is now a "no fly" zone, and being on a flying mount will dismount you. The forge is still open skies.
I'm not sure if this is an area bug or what. Stormwind, for example, is still pretty open, save inside the buildings.

So... MMO champ says that patch 4.0.1 will be released on the 6th or the 12th. What does patch 4.0.1 include? The PTR notes are very specific, but about things that don't seem to be implemented yet. Can anyone clarify? Thanks.
New talent system, new level req for a lot of skills, mount/dualspec price changes and such. Not sure if the new race/class combinations will be in this or the next one but I certainly hope they are... :-p

Yeah, this last bit before Cata will probably be pretty insane since the classes will be balanced around 85... Might be fun. ;-)

Can anyone tell me what Paladin mana regen is like? Divine Plea took a major nerf, so I'm wondering if Paladin mana regen is still ok (especially for ret.)
Also, can someone say how you generate Holy Power for Ret besides Divine Purpose?

from playing on the PTR I can tell you rite off the bat that ret paladins are now like enhance shamans, you simply WONT go oom ever.
unless you "on purpose" waste your mana on skills you dont need (like spamming the mega-expensive heal)
if you limit yourself to DPS alone, it all goes smooth as silk, I was DPSing non-stop on both a dummy for 5 uninterrupted minutes, and on 3 diferent heroics, I never got below 80% mana ever.
I can't say for holy or prot pallys, they aint my cup of tea, so I haven't properly tested them, but on a ret pally your mana is solid. you may as well even forget u depend on mana, cuz it goes up like foam on a strongly shaked beer xD
you generate holy power as ret in multiple ways:
main one is Crusader strike (1 holy power per crusader strike, I'm not sure if u still get the holy power if you miss, would have to test it to be sure)
also thanks to the ret talent (divine purpose) you have 40% chance to get a holy power charge by using Judgement, templar's verdict, divine storm, exorsism, inquisition, and holy wrath.
last but not least, when you activate your ultmate ret talent, Zealotry for the next 20 secs, Crusader strike generates 3 charges of holy power.

Yup, seems they scrapped that one. Can understand why since they probably want you to have FA for the bandages rather than farming "volatiles".
Also, how does this look?

Animation is still the same size but mobs take hits outside of it as well. :-P I'd expect it to get properly sized sooner or later.
