To Troll!
Well, you mentioned posting my original post on here (the one called" One Tip from Beta testers") which you locked, but is completely different from this thread. This one has nothing to do with what I was asking but, oh well.
I don't care what becomes of Fandral Staghelm or if there is a racial mount that seats 3 people etc. I just was curious about whatever I posted. But again, oh well.
This is a thread for asking any questions you have about the beta and get response from testers.
And just as a note, server just went on maintenance... possible that the Uldum build is coming out tomorrow. :-)

Can't answer 1, 4 or 5 since neither have been implemented yet.
2: Honor points, to my knowledge, have been reset every expansion and highly doubt keepers' shards will be used for anything new so I say use them all up whenever you want.
3: JC tokens won't be used, almost 100% I've seen a blue post on this somewhere.
6: I'd buy heirlooms or gems for them. You won't have any use for the emblems come cata and odds are they might be removed alltogether because of the new points system. Heirlooms are fully functional on beta but a blue poster did say that they're considering disabling the exp gain for a bit after the release so I'd wait before buying them, really.

Stonekeeper's Shards for BoA Honor badges
MIGHT
be an investment. Assuming they don't remove those in the expansion.

The only re-tuned old instance I've tried is Dire Maul east, and the drops were still high-level. One awesome thing however is that you get ALL the dungeon quests right at the entrance now... even the ones that used to have prequels. There are some new ones too, and seems to be more breadcrumb quests to dungeons on the outside now as well.

Got a question, sorry if it's obvious, couldn't find the answer anywhere.
What is the size of the cataclysm data? To save you the trouble, in case it's all mixed up, could you instead tell me what is the total size of the wow folder after installing the beta (assuming you have to install the beta to the same folder as wow)?
Insanely big, over 30 GB. I'll post exact ammount after the patch is done.

wow the quest at the start thing sounds pretty awesome.
Got a question, Blizz stated that they will make more use of CC and the AOE abbilties, so far have you seen this change in the new dungeons? What exactly did they do to require CC harder hitting mobs, healer mobs, mobs that CC you (fear/mind controll etc)?
Have you seen this change in the low level dungeons as well?
People are going to want to CC alot more now, yes. I have only tried Blackrock Cavern and a little bit of Throne of the Tides due to DC problems while in the new instances (probably fixed now though) The mobs hit very hard and a few parts (last boss in Blackrock Caverns for instance) actually require kiting. The BRC boss has two adds that are unkillable that give the group a -99% healing received debuff when they're close to the boss, so you probably won't be able to ignore it even if your group is overgeared.
Healer mobs are much better now, they actually spamheal as if they were players. :-P If there are too many in one pull, you're going to need CC, heavy interrupting or a lot of patience...
I usually play enhancement and haven't had a chance to heal an instance yet, so I can't say for sure. There was a massive jump in hp and damage between level 78-80 and 81-83 mobs though - some quests in Deepholm were actually hard. If I recall correctly the mobs in Deepholm had up to 50k hp.
Unfortunately won't be able to answer the last other ones about the shaman and tank HP since server is down due to the new patch... healing rain seems awesome though. It has a cool animation, but seems a little unfinished. :-) And unleash elements is a really good spell for all specs.

Has there been any updates to VC yet? There is a lot of lore and story going on in Westfall about his daughter taking over the business and it's been a while since I last asked so...anything yet? I would love to have the mines taken over by her :)

Pretty sure that's what happens in the "heroic Deadmines" we'll be able to do in the first patch after release.
@Tomkr: don't have a paladin on there. :-(
@Trolls: Finally managed to get online. My shaman has (in mostly Hyjal/Vashj'ir greens and a few quest blues) 42845 health, 48657 mana and 2736 spell power unbuffed. (as resto)

That was my original thought also, but the entire Westfall is being modified by the Cataclysm so it might be kind of weird to go into the instance after hearing about the death of VC and then fighting VC o.o;

I think the daughter replaces him in the heroic one, and some other NPCs from the chain will probably be there too. There was a worgen I believe?

O_O
Wow, just wow.
P.s. Thanks for the quick answer =)
It copies the whole game and the expansinos though. The actual expansion won't be that big. =p

could someone explain to me (or redirect me to a blog/post that does) what's the deal with the whole "holy power" thing for the pallys?
I seem to have missed the
memo
patch-notes that detail just exactly WHAT it is and what it does.
I ask because a crap-load of talents in all specs are centered arroudn this whole holy power thingie.

According to guildies, paladin is completely broken and unplayable because of the new patch so not sure if any proper feedback can be given. :-P But it's something similar to combo points that you get when you use say, crusader strike and then you have a bigger melee attack (can't remember the name) that consumes the charges. Holy also uses the system somehow I think...

There is a new spell that has been implemented now, and I would like to know exactly how it functions. I am hoping that one of you have a Warlock in the highest levels to be able to answer, as well. The spell is in the Destruction Talent tree one tear from the bottom, BANE OF HAVOC
http://cata.wowhead.com/spell=80240#comments
.
The main question about the spell is when you place the bane spell on a target, does that target take on the effect of the bane by the damage that is already being done to it? In other words, does this make the damage on a single target go from 100% to 115%?
The text of the spell would blatantly make it true that the subject of the spell is prone to its own damage debuff, but some seem to believe that it does not function in this way, and so we need a tester to tell us the truth; lay us to rest :)
I am BEGGING for an answer to this question, thank you.
