one small little note about Garrosh's actions against the sailors on the shattering.
their ship was sinking, they had no supplies, they had wounded aboard, and from the conditions of their ship they weren't going to make it to the shore anyways.
so yep, garrosh actually saved their lives. Granted he was a complete jerk about it, because he first sated his cravings of kill and violence by killing several of them, but then he gave them supplies, he gave them boats, and then let them go.
there were only 3 things to do in that situation.
A: they spotted the alliance ship, and they just let them go, and ignore them. If this was done, they would had ALL died, as their ship was sinking anyways and were VERY far off the coast, they had no supplies, many wounded, and a badly damaged ship.
B: Spot the alliance ship, and kill them. A rather cruel thing to do as these were wounded, and had no way to fight back, killing them indeed can count as a war-crime.
C: Spot the alliance ship and help them. This would had been the right thing to do, it was nobody's fault that the hurricane hit both ships hard, since the horde ship was in better conditions they could had helped them in a numerous amount of ways, from taking them all and their supplies with them in the horde ship and leave them as soon as they spotted a shore, to help them patch up the ship and the wounded. This would had been the right thing to do,but it was not viable, the horde ship was damaged too, and their suplies were diminished as well, so this one was out of their hands.
Garrosh rather than pick A or B or C chose instead, a mix of B and C.
granted, I'd liked more if he had chosen C alone but at least he didn't killed them "all".
the fact that he let them go, won't clean up the fact that he commited a war crime by killing a wounded group, but it alleviates a lot the severity of the crime since he had no real reason to let the survivors go, much less give them part of the horde supplies and boats.

Honestly, I hadn't heard about this, but at least they got the "Man, Garrosh does the stupidiest things..." part of his character right. He had no reason, other than pure hatred, to kill off the sailors. He had no reason, other than pure hatred, to let some of them live, carrying a message to Stormwind.
My guess? He did it for the lulz of killing Alliance, depending on when this occurred.
Not completely; the Alliance ship was in Horde water when they attacked it, and they didn't realize it was badly damaged till they were already attacking it. Even then, while they killed people on the ship, they went for captives first, and those that died had been fighting for their lives.
Garrosh thinks that they broke the treaty....and let them live, mainly to spread the word that Garrosh had been 'merciful' to them.

yhea but it is still a thecnicallity, he knew that they entered horde waters by accident, a friking hurricane of cataclysmic proportions had just shaken a good chunk of the northrend oceans.
indeed from a legal POV he had every right to kill them as it was them who were intruding on horde waters, from a moral POV he knew they did so by accident, and they were already sinking when they were spotted.
but still the fact remain that the good and the bad of tha action happened. He killed a lot of them, and he let a lot of them go too. The reasons are irrelevant, did he attacked them due to them being in his waters? did he just needed to sate his brute cravings to kill and maim? did he wanted to seed a message to them? and why did he let them go? was it out of ego so that they may spread word of his actions? out of actual genuine mercy?
these are questions to wich we can only speculate.

(I'd attack the writing itself, but I don't wanna call down the wrath of L&RP on my ass.)She's not a perfect writer, but still better then
the guy
they hired to write Cycle of Hatred....of course, that's not hard.

Ah, I remember that.
Should've thrown it into other boards, since L+RP is a rather infrequently visited spot...
Oh well.

It's just... I mean, this isn't really a writing problem, it's a narrative problem. It's a minuscule logic plot hole.
She has those unfortunately....more then she should.

Garrosh is awesome. Anyone who disagrees is dismissed. Not quite sure how to respond to this. So I'll just say that Baine could kick Garrosh's ass.

I think both of them are awesome.
Besides, Baine doesn't exactly give the impression that he hates Garrosh ingame.
