Well, I dont find single target threat to ever be an issue at all yet hence why I prefer to HS/rend and do some damage - since I'm usually the main dps also ^_^
Sunder armor is still used for AoE threat, since you can't fill every GCD with thunder clap and revenge.
If you cleave a lot you might not have the rage to use SA on free GCDs.
Assuming both glyphed, I'd rather Cleave than Sunder, because Cleave actually kills stuff and the threat is good enough (as long as aggro is on you, does it matter if you're at 130% threat or 180% ?)

Yeah if you have no threat trouble then don't worry about sunder armor. It would only be worth it on bosses that lasted a long time, but not many do in levelling dungeons.
The revenge glyph will be better than the thunderclap one in most cases anyway.
But demo shout... Please, help yourself and don't use that for threat. Even before the nerf it was weak compared to thunder clap - and that was the old, weak thunderclap.

Cool, how much threat does Battle Shout generate?
I remember back when BWL was the place to be, and we had a tank aggroing Draknoids by repeatedly battle-shouting.
About the same. They were both nerfed at the same time in late pre-TBC. I remember my guild had a bit of confusion about how to do adds at razorgore and nefarian after the change, but it all worked out (and probably closer to how blizzard intended those fights to be handled).
We used demo shout for razorgore and battle shout for nefarian, due to the threat mechanics the shouts had back then (battle shout was like healing threat, and was based on how many friendly targets your shout hit; demo shout was a flat amount of threat done to each mob it hit).

so wait a minute, does the SA from devastate count for the same threat as just SA?
Devastate does Damage + 315 + 5%*AttackPower as threat.
If you have Glyph of Devastate then your Devastate does Damage + 630 + 10%*AP (and applies 2 stacks of the sunder armor debuff)
Sunder Armor does 360 + 5%*AttackPower as threat.
So if you use just Glyph of Sunder Armor, and attack Mob1 with Devastate, then Mob1 will get Damage+315+5%AP as threat and Mob2 will get 360+5%AP as threat, with each mob getting one stack of the sunder armor debuff.
If you have both Glyph of Sunder Armor AND Glyph of Devastate, and attack Mob1 with Devastate, then Mob1 will get Damage+630+10%AP as threat and Mob2 will get 360+5%AP as threat, with Mob1 having two stacks of sunder armor and Mob2 having one stack of sunder armor.

ok, now I'm missing something. I don't see anything in your post about a second cost other than that it doubles. What is the second cost? The lost "opportunity cost" of rage I would have generated if it was white?
like I said, I'm not a pro warrior, so if I should know something here, please let me know, this is my first delve into the class...What I'm seeing is my rage bar not dropping after a glyphed heroic strike post-revenge. If my lying eyes are decieving me please point me in the direction I need to see...
yes, he's talking about the opportunity cost. it's not huge as prot since our white swings are pretty pathetic, but it's certainly there. it's much bigger for a dps warrior.
it's hard to justify a major glyph slot for the small benefit you get from the revenge glyph, especially considering that you'll USUALLY be cleaving instead. but i do like the cleave glyph and i like your strat of just pulling more mobs to keep the rage flow up. that's something that a lot of people don't understand until much later in the game.

With Shield Block on 40 second CD, I find it hard to be out of Rage for long. I went with Glyph/Cleave.
