but make sure melee doesnt engage orange add until it picks a target. wiped on 25 last night b/c a stupid warrior (a pug) ran straight there to dps, but then got targeted. BOOM. muuuuuust be kited.
also memorize the phase shift %'s. tell them to stop dps if an add is going to spawn right before tear gas. better to stop all dps, get add, kill add, then push PP into next phase.
get a good abomb that can slow adds and whatnot when needed too. dont necessarily need to stack melee....but if range are stupid and cant more or dont have dbm then its bad news bears.

You're not going to get to focus much on your rotation switching back and forth between the adds and the boss anyway. PP is one of my lowest-performance fights.

Woot! Downed him last night. I actually ended up as the second of two healers with my rather crap healing gearset when the priest had to leave after Rotface. Hooray for pugging people in! The healing wasn't bad though as long as people were conscious of what they were standing in (or not standing in) and stacking on the green slime when it would explode.
I think there's also a tendency to assume that the green slime dies when it explodes.
As RL, the trick really seemed to be watching the raid like a Hawk from Hell and directing the whole thing constantly over vent:
"Okay - the green slime is out now - ranged on it - okay, EVERYONE ON IT - pile on it killkillkillkillkillkillkill!"
"Okay, cross the room - now the orange is coming out, okay it's targeted X, EVERYONE ON IT - STOP DPSING THE BOSS, KILL IT!"
"Back across the room now..."
Rinse, repeat. :) Seriously, the big issue was reminding people to make the adds the number one priority, and otherwise there was a bit of finesse involved in timing the phase change - one wipe was the result of a green slime spawning right before phase 3 started.
The upshot of getting people to follow directions was that it reduced the amount of healing I had to do - our holy paladin healed most of it, I reckon.
Most of all, though, we succeeded because the raid was willing to give it five attempts, after 2 heartbreaking wipes in combination with 2 stupid wipes (one because though my laptop was plugged in, the power strip was off, and another due to cleansing totem "curing" the abom driver >.<).
It feels really, really good though. I can't wait to take out the Blood Wing.
what we do is tank boss near green spawn p1, and kite it back to there in p2 (dragging boss to get away from flasks)
melee should always be stacking up and ready to hit it asap. ranged ready and stacked on a predetermined stacking spot too. so in future just say "green spawning, all switch now!
for red say "red spawning, range switch and attack it" then when it picks a target say "X run, kite it and
now
all melee on red". you dont wanna call all over there b/c if it picks a melee target and they're attacking they wont be able to run away then BOOM. so range can start getting dps, then it picks a target & all are on it.
yup adds are #1 in p1 and p2. make sure to know the phase change %'s and when to stop dps if you cant push him before a new add spawns. also remember that rogues can vanish out of tear gas and mages can invisi. so if you have an add up they can give some free dps while you're all stunned then all dps jump on it asap before back on PP. and if no adds, its still free dps on PP.
and yea people willing to say is huge. hard for a pug when some people are just impatient in general and others are in a guild that has it on farm and dont like wipes. i dont think you mentioned if it was 10 or 25 pug, but in 25 tier tokens should give some incentive to stay during close wipes or even after a few due to easy mistakes. and in 10 he still drops some nice loot + achieve some people still might lack. if it is on 10 man blood should be pretty easy for you now, just research princes fight so you know how to explain it and what comp to get. and for bql be ready to be vocal about bites or get the blood queen addon. but overall id say if you can pug through putri, blood should be really easy. and grats on the kill

also remember that rogues can vanish out of tear gas and mages can invisi
Slight correction: on PP phase changes, mages use Ice Block, not Invisibility. Just because you're invisible, doesn't mean you can't get intoxicated by Tear Gas ;)

as a healer im not sure why you're chasing behind the kiters. only reason to move would be unless they move out of range of your heals.
and the only thing ive seen work is invisi, but if ice block works thats cool too

Confirm oberon. Ice block is wrong. Invisibility is right.

This is wrong. You
do
use Invis. Something about not being on the threat chart or whatever is what makes you immune to the tear gas. That's why rogues can vanish through it.
I think it works when you stay out of combat, don't remember if I stayed out with my rogue.
It's invis, not ice block, like oberon and pelf said.
