what is wrong with Hurricane ?
You'll be able to cast about three of them.
With Moonglow at lvl 85 it costs 13735 mana... It's just prohibitively expensive.
All that aside if the dots run their full course you will do far more damage with them then a hurricane.

Honestly, Lunar Shower is very strong for us as it allows us to maintain dps on the move. Being able to move AND cast is why Mages never ever touch me on movement fights.
Don't think of Lunar shower forcing us to move. Think of it as a happy buff that we get to take advantage of if we are in a movement phase on a fight and let me tell you if you are not moving around on the new raid fights you are not doing things correctly.
Currently playing around with
this spec
myself but i can tell you i'm probably going to be taking points out of Furor and putting them into perseverance.

I have found I swap GoW in for GoSS for heroics but definitely rock GoSS in raids.

Once I can figure out how to write up the gemming guidelines without writing a novel it will be in. The current method in my head is similar to counting cards >.< Makes a lot of sense to me and my friends but not easily describable for some reason or at the very least understandable to all.

At 1 of 3 I was getting 7% up time. I've since boosted it to 3 of 3 but have raided extensively enough as boomkin to get (yay resto is freaking fun) to get any accurate numbers as yet.
Edit: 22k dps is a great way to get your face caved in btw...

I'm Boom/bear as my 2 specs but we had some slow to level/gear healers and a few who went back to their old guild "pre-expansion slump" guild. Most time's I'm Boomkin but I've needed to go resto a few times since the gear for boom and resto is essentially the same for the moment. I've made the offer myself to do this but there is already talk about moving me back to boom and just finding other healers because I just blow up the charts when I do get to be boomkin.
Love resto, don't get me wrong, but I will be glad to wave goodbye to it and get back in my bear gear :P
EDIT: Not sure about the length of mana pools but Furor really is looking to be a strong choice. It's less about boosting the Innervate you give a healer and much more about having a mana pool that lasts long enough to always have it free for a healer. At current fully raid buffed numbers I'm looking at only being able to optimally roll my rotation for 8 mins 20 secs with 2/2 furor and no personal innervate. With the glyph of innervate this extends my mana pool long enough for any boss fight. So don't be surprised if the suggested spec changes slightly for early raiding.

Those two points will go into either BotG or Perseverance.
EDIT: Furor is indeed a 3 point talent you are correct.

Hi druids,
I have a question on
Moonglow
vs
Furor
.
The first gives us 9% more longevity for 3 points, and the other gives us 15% more? Right?
Furor also scales with gear. Mana costs for our spells are fixed at level 85, so the benefit provided by Moonglow is also fixed. On the other hand, as we improve our gear, our mana pools get bigger (deeper?) and thus the benefit from Furor is also improved. Not to mention a bigger mana pool leads to more effective Innervates and better regen from Replenishment.. (I think?).
Then you could also factor in the added Furor benefit of being able to switch to cat form and fire off a
Stampeding Roar
immediately. I have no idea whether this practical, but still, it's there!
And lastly, Moonglow only affects damage and healing spells, so does this include utility spells like Cyclone or Soothe or Solar Beam?
Perhaps some of the things I mention aren't particularly important for raiding, but I have to ask - why is Moonglow considered to be a better place to spend 3 talent points than Furor?

Nerfed?...
No not at all have we been nerfed

Just as a picture this would rank me in at ~185 in the world rankings for boomkins for this specific fight.

Noob question, but it seems there is no reason to get pure hit over spirit since spirit doubles as mana regen as well?
