well.. on the calculation yes..
If u have 0 haste , 0 hit, 0 crit.. yaa.. then the prio list is the best.
But in real life u dont have that,,
So.. for example.. u have 6k SP.. and wondering what stat togo with .. i say Haste is prio 1..
ofc u still get INT on the way.. but i would rather loose 10 INT to gain 100 Haste.. just becouse that item has Haste on it, instead of Crit..
Example:
Item 1 (you have on now):
int = 50
Crit = 100
Item 2 (that drops):
int = 40
Haste = 100.
for me.. thats a clear case of taking the
Item2
.. EVEN that u loose 20 INT.
If i was to follow your table..
Item1
is then better.
Thats the diffrence am talking about. ofc i wouldnt take an item that has Agi instead of INT.. just becouse it has more haste on.
Dont know if u agree with me.. but that to me, says that haste is more prio..
For me it is a clear case to take Item 1.
10 int is stronger then the difference between haste and crit. Maybe a 2nd secondary stat could swing a difference as small as 10 int but I'd have to be a poor secondary.
And to back that up.. am only HC geared.. (best haste gear I could find).
And am top 5 in the raid on a single target boss.. doing between 14-17k dps on a raidboss
Using the My Prio I'm placing in the top 100 boomkins in the world...

Using the My Prio I'm placing in the top 100 boomkins in the world... where r u finding that info out of interest?
World of Logs. Most of my ranking are down to top 200 and some even pushed off those but at the times I did the fights I ranked in in the top 100 with 63 being my best on our guilds first Omnitron kill.
Blackwing Descent
Bastion of Twilight
Throne of the Four Winds
If you use WoL for combat parsing after about 24 hours on the main dashboard for each log you will see if anyone made any rankings in the top right side of the window of the log itself.

Moonie... youre 406 hit under cap... I doubt youre doing dps like that that far under the cap.
i know i am.. have 2-4 misses per boss.. (total among all casted spells).
Still do 14-17k..
u know we had this discussion at 80 aswell..
curlymon:
Well at your gear lvl then.. am guessing u already have the haste needed..
then ofc INT is prio 1. .sence am guessing u already have the haste of your goal.. ?

So do you get DI or is it reserved for a healer?
My guild has always placed it in this prio:
Resto Druid > Boomkin > Shadow Priest > Fire Mage.
Fortunately for me witht he current state of heals for my guild I'm the only Resto druid when i'm not the top Boomkin >.<
That begin said I meant to say Ele sham not lock. Only time I've gotten DI as boomkin was on last nights 25 man hehe :P

Easy link to toon :P
I currently have 1581 and due to balancing for Higher int/sp while staying hit capped have only been over 1.8k once for about 2 days until I got my PvP 359 mace.

curly, I was looking through your rotation section and was curious about your usage of
. It appears you want to start your rotation off with IS, MF, and then treants. Do treants scale well with haste and would it be worth the GCD inside
? I couldn't find any definitive information about treant scaling in Cataclysm, so I thought I'd ask here.

The DPET of treants is about 5% stronger then an NG MF/SuF, making it our strongest spell overall, and yes they scale by haste but do it dynamically, meaning any personal change in haste updates as the change happens. If you lead with them on the "ramp up" this mean you get the ramp up NG AND the NG from your first eclipse. Afterword you want to cast them at or near the top of each eclipse as you can get all of that eclipse's NG and a portion of the subsequent eclipse NG.
Hope that answers your question.
For those wondering about dot refreshing and EJ's current disscusiion, Glyph of Starfire is indeed a large boost to dps but ONLY on fights with little to no movement at all, and it ends up complicating things once you get 4T11.
IS and MF are the top two glyphs but the 3rd choice is fight dependant.
Starfire - Zero to very very little over all movement, this is the top DPS choice. Basically, just Chimaeron and only if you are standing close to the collapse point.
Starsurge - Is great on any fight where there is movement and you can use Starfall on each Lunar Eclipse without jeapordizing the raid. All around best choice if you don't plan to swap fight by fight, the suggested one in the guide.
Wrath - Is the last choice where the above two conditions can't be met. Basically Omnitron if you are having issues timing the doing starfall in the 55-75 ONLY energy range on the active boss.

This sort of answers my question, but I was actually going a different direction. If treants scale dynamically with haste, wouldn't it then be more efficient to cast treants and then cast IS and MF/SF? That way you aren't using a gcd inside NG casting treants when they will already scale with the haste once you cast your next dot (especially since they likely won't start attacking your target until you've got the next dot cast)? I was just following this reasoning from why we cast starfall before starting NG because it wastes time inside NG and doesn't scale with haste (which is similar to treants except treants can later get the buff anyway).

It is less about saving a CD now and pushing it to more overall haste time used.
On the ramp up phase you won't use that entire NG before you hit the first eclipse. Later when recasting at the top of each eclipse you want to drop it inside of NG as that will give you an extra GCD of haste in the next eclipse's NG.
Either way you look at it NG should always be cast once you have a direct placement on the target's Agro table. You should always be placing the treants at the feet of the target you are fighting they attack as soon at you place them so there is no down time.

Burning Shadowspirit is the stronger of the two. It's currently the top suggested gemming.

very useful guide to most questions relating to moonkin form dps. cheers for some extra insight. (not quite sure if its been answered) but what would ideally we be aiming for in crit stats and haste stats max around item lvl 350-355?
Honestly this will bounce around for you a bit. I've gone from 1400 haste to 1870 with a single upgrade because of the way my gear shuffled around (I'm a pack rat and optimize gear constantly)
As long as you follow the gear choice guide I laid out you really can't go wrong and Les's gear list is very helpful to determine which piece ranks higher in the end.
