Truth hurts.
But, I think we should just ignore him from here on out.
I suppose so. But I just had to make that comment.

Who?
I'm roughly in the same boat as the OP. I've got a Druid, DK, Warrior, and Priest at 80, and will have a Mage at 80 within a week. I'm still not sure what to level first, but I'll just pick one and level it until I decide I don't like that one.

(although seems warriors won't have much going for them)Heroic leap for stunning large groups of enemies, then blasting them apart with pocket mages and boomkins.
there, THAT'S a fix, now stop arguing over stupid things.
some people prefer to play alliance, some people prefer to play horde.
let's leave it at that.
Come on, faction wars are suposed to go down in the battlegrounds and in WG (in pvp realms it also goes for the whole frikking game-world) but NOT on forums, in the forums we're neither alliance, nor horde. We're players.
now shake hands, and move on before another lock lands over here.
@OP: why do you ask US what do YOU want to make as your main? dude the fun in this game is to figure out wich class you love the most by yourself.
when I started, just about everyone I knew recomended me to play mage, but I don't like mages, I found them boring, and so I made a shaman. That doesn't mean mages suck, or that shamans are inherently superior, it simply means that out of all the classes I leveled to 15, shamans are the ones that got my attention.....
special atention goes to this bit:
I want to level the class that seems to be doing the most dps
see this is where you get shafted, because blizzard loves to do this little thing called: Patches.
whenever these magical aplications sneak into your wow, what we all currenly acknoledge as the highest DPS in the chain can suddenly and ingloriously become the worst class in the game. As easy and as fast as that.
if you base your preference EXCLUSIVELY in the class that can dish out the most damage per second, you won't enjoy this game, because classes, skills, talents, and items are being constantly tweaked, changed and messed arround. What today is the highest DPS can (and often is) tomorrow's biggest loser.
instead if you can't decide on wich class to have as your main focus on factors such as:
A: capacity for soloing (by soloing being defined as: killing large groups of mobs quickly and without external help, as well as taking down Elites and harder mobs without adtional assistance, and finish "group quests" without actually having a group)
B: Downtime: let's face it, stoping for eating/drinking/bandagin every 30 seconds is annoying, so having a class that can minimize downtime to a non-existant frame is the most ideal scenario. Being capable of killing something, then move to a next target, and another, and another, without having to rest.
C: enjoyability of the inherent mechanics of the class. All classes have a diferent mechanic, from the rogues building combo points to unleash their finishing moves, to DK's using their runes and diseases, to warriors building rage to smash things, to warlocks dotting up and using souls to empower their spells, to druids shapeshifting to something diferent. The mechanic you enjoy the most, is clearly the one you should stick to.
Despite the fact that I enjoyed the mechanics of an enhance shaman, the gamestyle of a DK was more fun for me, hence why it's my main, add to that the capacity to attack and survive large waves of mobs and even elites, and be able to kill without having to rest, and that's why it's my main.
There are certain aspects of the game where you can't ask for opinions because it's simply a PERSONAL matter.
next time we will have someone making a thread asking "wich color should be my favorite one? orange or green?"

My solution to that problem rank was... I leveled every single class to 80, all of them, and got dps gear and other spec gear over time. Takes a while, but in those times of having looooong periods of nothingness between patches it gives you something to do.

Honestly Rank, probably shouldn't have made the comment, but it is true; I'm looking forward to leaping into groups of enemies and mass stunning, then either Bladestorming or Shockwaving them afterwards heh.....usually don't see a certain user in posts like this so...yeah.

see, this is my goal too, but there is 1 big obstacle preventing me from doing so.
lvls 1-58.
I HATE THEM, I hate having to level from 1 to 58 it's just HORRIBLE. I mean, I don't mind having to level from 58 to 80 at all, outland is fun, short and organized, and northrend is simply a blast, phasing and vehicles everywhere. but the first 58 levels are so horribly boring tedious and soul-draining that I just don't have it in me to level AGAIN from 1 to 58 ever again.
I've done it twice (well, 3 times if you count Loremaster) and not once will I soil my hands with those filthy quests.
I'll just wait for patch 4.0.3 wich will finnaly add FUN quests for the earlier levels and then I'll level 1 of each class to 85 (for obvious reasons I won't gear or do progression on them, I'll just lvl them to 85 and leave them to rot unless some patch makes them absurdly OP)
so far my planned list of alts is:
Goblin Rogue
Tauren Paladin
Worgen Warrior
Gnome Priest
Nightelf Mage
Human Warlock
Forsaken Hunter
Troll Druid
(and add to these my Orc shaman and my Bloodelf Dk)

Sorry Tauren, I was in a reaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllyyyyyyy pissed off mood last night, about a lot of stuff.
Anyways, for my alts, I plan to go Dwarf warrior, Worgen Warlock (Flamehowl, for those of you from L&RP =D), an orc shaman (now that you get level 50 talent spells at level 10, I might be able to level a shaman) and my draenei mage, currently sitting at level 25.
For my main, I'm torn between my Dwarf Retribution Paladin, who has most of my love, and my name, or my Draenei Frost dps DK, who is fun but not very geared or anything =P
Probably my paladin, since I know them best, and like them best.

Well I have all classes level 80 except my 74 mage all on the same server, I will level my pally and my drood first to max miner and herborist skill so I can max all the proffessions of my others toons with only those 2 (only prof i dont have are lw and bs), leveling with max'ed proffesions is cool and sooner you can make gold and better is the profit!
Will try get the epic BoA sword on my pally too :3
