Imp - Critical strike chance of your cast time Destruction spells increased by 30% for 20 sec.
Does this affect Immolate's periodic damage aswell?

Yeah, I was mostly interested about the tick thingy. And another thing came into my mind. Does it affect Soul Fire, when it is instant cast (via Empowered Imp or Soulburn)?

Well, I don't care that much that I would find it out. I'm just curious :)

What is the best leveling spec?
Kappa's Guide mentions all of them, but I can't find any mention of which he prefers, I'm thinking probably Destruction if you have heirlooms?

What is the best leveling spec?
The one you enjoy the most.

the thing about levelling is that it is, for the most part, a solo experience in WoW. there are times when you're encouraged to group up for quests and there are even different avenues for levelling that involve purely grouping (LFD/BGs) but if we're talking about a player questing their way up from level 1 to 85 the most important thing is that they enjoy that experience.
as such, if you just enjoyed levelling as a resto druid and were happier going at that slower pace but having fun doing it then nobody can tell you that you're wrong. being an MMO the times when people start to tell you that there's a best (and a worst) is when you're interacting with other people. when you're playing in a group you have some level of responsibility to those other players to "do your bit".
so, when people say that the best spec is the one you like the most it isn't just shrugging off the question, it's saying that if we tell you destro is best but you don't like it, you won't make it to max level. you'll get frustrated and bored and quit the class and that makes destro a really bad levelling spec for you ^_^
so with all that in mind the other point is that just as the three specs are incredibly well balanced at max level right now, so they are for levelling. they have quite different styles but none of them has a clear lead in terms of speed and efficiency.
my personal feeling is that demonology offers the security of having your own tank making it more survivable while destruction has some very nice burst damage. affliction, i feel, lacks much of either and has lost the massive self healing it used to have during wrath.
however, i'm surely biassed in that opinion and someone who's really enjoying affliction levelling right now could, i'm sure, give you some very good reasons for affliction being very good.
how'd that turn into such an essay >.<

I mean as in if you were solo questing, irrelevant of fun factor, which would be the fastest?

I'd use Destruction. Demonology for soloing some group quests. But this should be irrelevant because you might get frustrated and bored and quit the class if you listen what I say.

But that's the thing, the spec that is the fastest is
the one you enjoy the most
.
And even then, do you really want to level a character "irrelevant of fun factor"? Doesn't make sense to me.

I think you just include /petattack in the macro somewhere.

trouble is that the command "/petattack" makes your imp restart casting. if you spam a button with the command in it your imp will never get a cast off.
/cast firebolt
/petattack
should do it...
@theonlysherriff, no good reason no.
there are times when your pet will be stunned or snared but they'll be so rare that the chances of you reacting to it and activating demonic empowerment before the effect just wears off are slim to none. it's sometimes included as a filler talent in end-game builds but when levelling there's other filler talents that are more useful (like health funnel)

@target is implied (iirc) so isn't needed and your pet will continue to attack it's own target if yours is invalid when you press the macro anyway.
your added clauses on the /petattack would make it mess up your imp.
