Is there any way to make the felguard autocast felstorm?
If not, should I just update all my old macros which had Demonic Empowerment to instead cast Felstorm?
Could someone tell me why affliction casts Bane of Agony instead of Bane of Doom? By the tooltips, it lookds like BoD hits slightly harder every 15 seconds then all the ticks of BoA combined do every 18, what is it that I'm missing that makes BoA better?
Thanks

If you just want it to be a fire and forget ability, yes, it is best to just macro Felstorm to your nukes. Not all PvE situations will benefit from the CD being on autocast, so its personal taste.
As for the BoA vs BoD, I believe that affliction warlocks use BoA because BoD is not effected by Mastery. Meaning as you get more mastery, BoA becomes even more effective. Yay for scaling with gear.

BoD does not benefit from haste or any talent/mastery/buff/debuff that increases shadow periodic damage (haunt, SE, SM).

At the Argent Tournament (aka the daily hub area where ToC is). Just make sure the dummies you are using to test your execute phase on do not have shield charges, as they will seriously cut your dps down.
I have a question about haste. I know haste ranks higher then crit and mastery. At what point is it pointless to keep adding haste and move onto the other two? I was thinking about reforging some stuff to get some more haste ( at the hit cap) and didn't know how much was too much.
Until simcraft has an updated version available (which i don't think is out yet) you'll never be able to give a certain answer. If your demo, according the warlock forum mod over at mmo (Gherkin), the soft haste cap is 1260. What that soft hit cap was referring to I am not certain. I would suggest trying out reforging to haste and try to observe what results it brings.

bear in mind though that the stats weights you see (based on the early versions of simcraft) are based on a BiS gear set with very high haste. i think more haste is fine right now.

hehe, i was thinking the same question just 10mintes ago.
you can't press space or escape like you might normally do to cancel casting. you can't even use a "/stopcasting" macro it seems.
the quick and dirty solution i came up with was use shadow ward. it's instant, doesn't require a target (since you'll mostly need to stop hellfire because everything died already) and it's cheap.
i'm certain there's a more elegant solution.
ok, a better way!
/cast howl of terror
/stopcasting
demo can't get iHoT so it will always have a cast time to interrupt.
this way you don't need to have a target, it doesn't trigger the GCD, it doesn't use mana and it doesn't put a potentially useful ability on cooldown.
there's is still potentially a better solution but this one works for now

the macro i mention doens't use mana . clicking buffs is fine if time isn't a factor but isn't a great solution (as with pretty much anything requiring clicking)
BUT!
this leads to the perfect solution
/cancelaura hellfire
just tested it. it works.
how silly of me not to think of this in the first place
and, regarding DS, you've got "simple tooltips" switched on in your menu.
DS has been hotfixed to do double instead of quadruple damage below 25% but it is still a very effective spell.
