I actually posted this on another forum too, and they suggest herbalism too. Apparently there's somewhere in TK where you can Mind Soothe some mobs to get to some plants in there without fighting.
Don't suppose you know of any other ways to use Mind Soothe in clever ways? Or maybe Mind Control?
What I use to do whilst levelling is when i come up to a big-ish pull that I didnt wanna try my chances on I would mind soothe all the mobs and MC one and bring towards me drop MC and kill it hehe.
Another clever way to use MC is when your trying to solo an elite or any humanoid really. DoT them up and MC them let the DoTs tick, Drop MC, Fear, re-DoT, MC again =P I used this when I decided to go try and solo Shadow Labs ofcourse I failed but I did take out a good portion of the first room good for rep if your really desperate =P

Ring enchants are for the enchaters rings only. Other players' rings can not be enchanted by an enchanter and enchanting a BoE ring will make it soulbound. With that in mind there are 2 excellent ring enchants for priests. One is +12 Spell damage the other +20 Healing. So with both rings enchanted that's a total of +24 Spell damage for SPriests or +40 Healing for Holy.
Whatever you select for your second professions; Enchanting, Alch, Herb... Your first profession should be tailoring if your planning on raiding. The craftable epics rival if not surpass drops from Kara and beyond. It's easy to walk into Kara with +800 Shadow damage wearing the Frozen Shadoweave & Spellstrike sets or +1200 Healing wearing the Primal Mooncloth & Whitemend sets.
Personally I was an enchanter &375 herb until I hit 70. Had guildmates / friends make me pots/elixirs/flasks from the herbs I was gathering and made some nice gold selling the extra herbs and consumables. When I hit 70 and had farmed all the mats I needed I powerleveled tailoring to 375 in about 3 hours which included running around to get patterns and doing the quest for Shadoweave tailoring.
Ask yourself what you want from your professions. If it's gold, take 2 gathering professions Herb, Skinning or Mining and just sell everything on AH. If it's to progress endgame and start raiding then definetly tailoring. Enchanting is optional and will not make you gold. Disenchanting will. By that I mean disenchanting crappy drops, cheap greens from the AH and useless quest rewards etc... and selling the mats on AH.

My priest is enchant/tailor.
Now this may be a bit of an over statement, but it is positively true. Two characters, identical gear, identical skill. The priest with enchanting will always be a better healer than the one without it due to the fact that you can only have enchanted rings on the charcter with enchanting. Now realistically, will +40 healing really make or break a healer, probably not, but the possibility is there for that extra 40 to save your tanks ass, thus your run/raid/whatever.
Now, why tailoring with it? Two reasons. Access to the Primal Mooncloth set. It's been said before, people are using this set well into SSC and maybe beyond. As an example, my priest only has the 3 epics form the Mooncloth set and self enchants, I have over 1500 +healing and 9k mana without stepping a foot in Kara, and no Heroic epics yet.
The second reason is to level tailoring as you're doing enchanting because the truth is, next to nothing you make for gains will be worth putting in the AH so DE everything and you have a constant supply of mats to level enchanting.

Tailoring/Alchemy. Tailoring for the sets, alchemy for the Alchemist's Stone and cheap potions, you are going to be using a lot of them.
