What's with all the America hate?

Alright, I have several things to say.
First off, I have to link this.
They used to have a shirt that says it, and I have one :P
Second, In the United States at the end of 2001, 10% of the population owned 71% of the wealth and the top 1% owned 38%. On the other hand, the bottom 40% owned less than 1% of the nation's wealth.
Considering that most countries in europe have 80% and upwards of the economy tied up in 1% of the population, I'd consider that we're doing fairly well for ourselves. People are jealous that we have a higher standard of living in the middle and lower classes then most other countries.
Also, I fail to see what a president's morals have to do with his ability to control the counties armed forces. (In case you people didn't know, that's all the presidency was designed for. Congress is the one that passes laws and taxes.) Clinton was a very good president, even if he was a pitiful excuse for a man.
Third, the USA technically does not have an official language, even though English is the most widely used language in the USA. So stop bringing up language.
Fourth, for those concerned about the USA meddling in other countries affairs, I give you this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monroe_Doctrine
We may meddle in other countries affairs, but nine times out of ten, it's with good intentions. Unfortunately, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and we're only human.
Fifth, many people are jealous of our bill of rights. Don't lie. The bill of rights is worth being jealous of.
The bill of rights lets us create the greatest media ever. Such as: South park, Family guy, American dad, many songs by bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and where they are not banned, many great novels such as the adventures of huckleberry finn, how to kill a mockingbird, and less well known, but my personal favorite book of all time
Little Brother by Cory Doctorow
.
By the way, I don't see why the term "Yank" should be offensive. It's not like saying "hick" or "redneck". I'm proud to be a Yank. Yankee is another story entirely though, considering I live in Massachusetts and I despise the Yankees. red sox ftw.

Also, America may have had other motives when we went to Iraq, but we also stepped in because thier "government" couldn't control it's people. And they refused to hand over Bin Laden.

Some of the 'reasons' for the hate are objectionable:
Israel:
This comes down to personal opinion.
Presidential indiscretions:
This isnt really any different in any other country. Welcome to politics. Politicians are humans, with faults like the rest of us. Should they be more careful? Yes. But keep in mind that the President of the USA has higher public expectations than any other world leader.
I am annoyed by alot of Americans, because of their ignorance. They are hardly selfless, they eat processed food and drive large vehicles and consume excessive amounts of energy which all contribute to pollution and impact on the environment and the world. By all means, have your freedom. But when your freedom negatively affects someone else, you need to review how you are living.
Alot of Americans have poor geographical knowledge, and think the world revolves around them.
This is present in other western countries as well, but it is more prevalent in the USA because they have placed themselves at the centre of the world stage, and they champion things such as freedom, liberty, environmentalism but they remain the biggest hypocrites ever.

they remain the biggest hypocrites ever Since I have a cynical view on humanity as a whole, I'll agree with you. However, there are a few Americans that don't make me doubt the future of humanity is positive. Jimi Hendrix, Martin Luther King, JFK, the members of the band System of a Down, the White Stripes, and most people that know at least the rudimentary rules of grammar.
Oh, and T.S. Eliot, if you can tell from my signature.

Thank-you Tuckmuck. I agree with you too, lets be pals!
I am not anti-America, and I am not labelling all Americans as rude and self-centred and greedy. But since they are representative of their country and society, that is how their country is portrayed outside of the USA.

First off let me say, and I want to emphasize this point alot, I don't want to cause any ill-intentions with this but just as a comparison.
Hick/Redneck loosely compared to the friendly gesture some black folks greet each other, the one ending in "a". It depends on the context of how it is used.
As a southernor living in Georgia, personally I don't find either offensive given that it's not used in a derogative manner; But I also see that as contradictory as Hick/Redneck itself is a negative term. I suppose I'm just more laid back than most people are, though.

sprinkle "god" around your sentences.
And get screamed at for being publicly religious.
I think the problem is that there really isn't a prominent intellectual society here. I'm not trying to say there are no intellectuals currently in America... but as an hive entitiy they are not at the forefront of society.
I would think that there are several smaller intellectual societies, generally the larger universities, than one large one.

Seriously? You couldn't think of anyone better? Thomas Edison, Andy Warhol, Langston Houghes, Mark Twain, Frank Lloyd Wright, Dorothea Lange, E.E. Cummings, Thomas Paine, or Nethaniel Hawthorne don't come to your mind before SOAD and the White Stripes?
I don't mean to be a %^&* dude... but seriously? You have the opportunity to mention very notable americans and you say SOAD and the White Stripes? I mean, not even John Phillip Soussa? I'm seriously not trying to knock your taste in music (mostly because I like to listen to them too everyone once in a while) but like... I don't know. Words fail me.
Edit: Whoa, how did Graham Bell get on that list? My bad.
I'm not much into paintings, so that's why I didn't say Andy Warhol. Mark Twain wrote Huck Finn, which is a great american novel, but it doesn't exactly give me hope for the future of the human race. Thomas Paine...Well, all I really know about him is that he wrote the federalist 10, and that doesn't really stick into my mind. Frank Lloyd Wright build a house over a waterfall. Big whoop. And I don't exactly know who the other people are :P
I'm not a huge history buff. I love music, and it's what get's me through the day, and keeps me sane through my horribly depressing life. That's why I mentioned SOAD and the White Stripes. Listen to Icky Thump by the white stripes.
white Americans, what?
nothing better to do?
why don't you kick yourself out
you're an immigrant too.
That kind of stuff means that there are actually people left in this world that can make a logical argument. Which, if you've ever been to 4chan, you really do need reassurance about.
And listen to Cigaro by SOAD, and read between the lines of the lyrics.

how to kill a mockingbird
You mean, "To Kill a Mockingbird."
"How to Kill a Mockingbird" was that flash movie about the robot Scout, spaceships with Pat Sajak face-cannons, and flying, burning sharks.

As an Ameri--Oh sorry.
North American
, I'm getting a kick out of this!
I hate my country. But I love it at the same time.
At times I just want to leave due to all the god-awful crap that its doing, but at the same time I've grown used to what we have here and I can't imagine living without it.

Listen to Icky Thump by the white stripes.
I have. I've had it in my iPod since like, 2008 or 2007.

You can't win an "I have it worse" contest on Wowhead.
What argument? I wasn't arguing that I have it worse, I was explaining the reason for my obsession with music.

Yeah, I do. My friends and I refer to it as how to kill a mockingbird, because my friend thought that's what it was called the first itme he heard about it.

I don't get where you're coming from considering every president beyond the founding fathers has been a WASP save for Obama and JFK. You don't get yelled at for being religious
President =/= normal people
People hate it when you say "God" in reference to religion, especially in big cities. I can't tell you how many times I've been yelled at for saying "Merry Christmas" or the like, because it references religion.
There's a very strong reason separation of church and state exists
Did I say there wasn't?
