Can't wait for it, I'm gonna try using simcraft maybe this weekend, got a lot of questions on which gear would be best for me, did a few calculations on my own using some stat weightings, but I still would like to check the result.

I'm covering the basics but it's difficult to know where to stop. I've already written the bit about making custom profiles and importing them so hopefully that'll be helpful for you.
I've hammered in the majority of the guide now, all the way up to analysing the results, but I'm super busy at the minute (really too busy to be starting something like this >.<) so no telling when it'll be complete.

Okay, my
SimCraft guide
is up. I'd really appreciate it if the Warlock regulars could give me a bit of help with proof reading and suggestions (and votes ^_^)

Yeah, you sure don't know where to stop, because if that big guide is 'just the basics' my mind will implode :P

>.< I've done my best to make it so that it isn't intimidatingly big or dense but I think I can do better. I've added some togglers so that people can hide whole sections if they don't care about what's in them but I've got to have them open by default so that people see them.
Perhaps I could use more tabs to separate the info a bit more...

Its a lot, but then again its SimCraft, a very mathy program. There really isn't a way around that.
But that doesn't mean all that info is intimidating or hard to process. The layout makes it very separate so you can digest it piece by piece.

Lately I've been checking some top guild warlocks just to see if there's anything I could be inspiring myself at, though the only thing that seems to be different to me is gear.
I see lots and lots of them seem to reforge trinkets like Rune of Zeth, DMC, into Hit. I do recall that hit has higher damage weightings than any combat ratings so far, but, would it be reallly worth it?
Right now for example, me gear is already topped in hit without reforging my trinkets to hit at all. Should I try and swap those stats? Maybe that would benefit the dps a little bit?

Could you link your profile and an example of a top end warlock?

Paragon's Jubeto
He swapped both DMC and Atramedes' trinket to hit

Wow that is a particular weird way to gear indeed. Then again paragon does some weird stuff, like 3 healers on ragnaros 25! man heroic. I think it is best to assume this is done specifically to a strategy* on an encounter like ragHC. Because to me that gear setup is a bit odd.
*I know for example they rely on demo locks to burn through p3 a great deal to not get as many meteors because that would make the leg-phase impossible.

Hmm I imagine that would work, most of their warlocks got a crapload of mastery
Though I still feel a bit safer the way I've been reforging stuff. Just need to get a better trinket, Heart of Ignacious is fun but there are better ones :/

Oh thats great news then! When I got this trinket I was a bit unsure if I should have needed it, but its nice to know that its practically bis! I love the way it works!
Damn is this guy's gear sweet o.O
I'll be sure to keep him on my bookmarks, maybe I'll try finding any of their logs.

Jubeto may be on Paragon, but he is not one to follow his builds. Top guilds build there players for a particular encounter. Where most of us kinda use a basic build type.
Also Awild, on EJ, heart is BiS if I recall correctly.

Edit: If you want a lock to aim your gear after, this guy is a machine. He would blow Jubeto out of the water. I remember somewhere seeing some of Vodka's logs, and holt cr@p. In the world of warlocky stuff, this is the lock I'd look up to.

He is the perfect balance of a demo build.
Jackovasaur is.... interesting. I'm sure he pulls good dps, but his reforging is interesting. his current reforges show from haste to mastery, and from mastery to haste, to hit and away from hit.

Yes and at the end of it he is precisely at 1742 hit.

Yeah, getting exacts 1742 can be a %^&*!, mainly for my demonology gear, I just can't go below 17,21%. Though for afflic I'm in a comfortable 17,01%.
