25% uptime on 40% magic damage reduction is crazy good. That's one I press every aoe phase and it's always back up at the end.
HoSac works ridiculously well now with PotI. Unless your tank is really getting smashed it's just a free 30% reduction in damage every 90 seconds.
Very great points, and can't believe I hadn't thought of those. Awesome, will be trying/using.

Beacon the tank you're assigned to heal, or better yet, when both tanks aren't taking damage at the same time, switch beacon to the active tank. It no longer costs mana, and there's time to cast it, so why not?

I've actually switched bacon to a DPS before while I have 3 HPow, and abused the LoD mechanic to burst them up ~25k. It's a lot faster and more mana efficient than trying to Divine Light them up. Part of me hopes they don't nerf this, or bring WoG up more so that it's better to use on a single target instead of LoD.
If when you HL the beaconed tank and that adds HP but it doesn't when you -don't- HL the beaconed tank, then who do you beacon in a two tank raid?
Don't forget to use Holy Shock when Daybreak procs. That's a fast 2 HPow that you can get from healing your non-bacon tank.
And also don't forget that bacon is only 50% healing now. It's not meant to be a fire-and-forget and not have to heal the bacon'd target anymore. It's just meant to help you heal more than one target -- you're gonna have to switch targets still, which will keep your HPow up. Switching back to the bacon is guaranteed HPow, and utilizing Daybreak procs, and just plain keeping Holy Shock on cooldown, will help keep HPow up.
These are just conceptual ideas from me though. Still haven't raided yet, so I'm not sure how mana management is in a raid situation. xP

Like I said in my first post in this thread, I'm still healing in full ICC25 gear (mix of mostly 277 with some 264) so mana efficiency is a HUGE problem for me right now. I pretty much don't bother healing DPS
at all
. So far, LoD every three spellcasts + Holy Shock on the most injured/threatened DPS will cover almost any situation I've come across in heroics and Baradin Holy (as much of a yardstick as that is). For any sort of high damage AoE phase, I pop Holy Radiance, use Hand of Sac on someone (anyone really) and Holy Shock as much as possible. It's just not pheasible at this point, nor recommended to bother using a cast-time heal on anyone other than a tank as a Holy Paladin. Not from my point of view anyways.
For what it's worth, I think I've cast Flash of Light as a combat heal maybe 3 times since I hit 85, and that's not an exaggeration.
Edit: @Kiksu: Don't feel stupid, you aren't alone, and after Wrath, Cataclysm healing is a huge paradigm shift. It's not really something a lot of people are able to grasp right away. It's better that you're here asking how to better yourself and trying to do well, than QQ'ing on the official forums because your Flash of Light costs 14% of your total mana.

It gets a lot easier with better gear. I can throw several FoLs out during AoE damage and bounce back pretty quick right after. With spirit on everything I can manage my in combat regen is something like 2.5k from spirit alone, when Rainsong
hasn't
procced. My guild members have actually commented about how they
cannot
run me out of mana.
Also, someone might want to test Seal of whatever the hell the holy seal is called now. I get about three to four times as much mana from a proc caused by judgment than I do from a proc caused by meleeing.

How much unbuffed mana do you have Pezz? In my (now terrible) gear, I have about 1.5k in combat regen and 58k mana, with ~3500 spellpower.

Somewhere close to 80k. I think unbuffed it's something like 75k.

Ugh. I clearly need to do heroics. Admittedly, I haven't had
too
much trouble in heroics so far, even with hardly any Cata gear. Some of the bosses are hard, for sure, and my group needs to be smart about staying out of the bad, but they're manageable. I'm thinking that once I get some better gear though, it's going to feel much easier relatively.

So after stepping into a raid for the first time:
Reforge spirit. On
everything
.
My guild gave Halfus a try tonight. As soon as we got the whelps and the rider down and the three healers got everything under control, the other holy paladin and I rotated plea and went from 'I can't cast holy shock oh crap' to 40% mana. I'm sitting just under 2k spirit with no trinkets procced.
