How to find an Arena Partner?

How do I do this? I'm planning on playing a holy paladin for PvP, level 84 atm, and every person I talk to asks me my highest rating, then I tell them I don't have any experience, then it's no reply afterwards. How do I persuade someone to give me a chance with no experience? I feel like I'm trying to convince a girl to have sex with me or something... I had a warrior RL friend who was pretty serious about arena, but he doesn't play anymore so it sucks. What do I do?

Just include the fact that you are newbie in the partner searching, so experienced people won't contact you.

Just take a friend with you into the arenas. It's best to start off just having fun and learning the ropes with someone else who is also new. Playing with a Gladiator can be frustrating for them because they're used to playing to win, instead of playing to learn.
Well, if you can make friends with a Gladiator, there's certainly no disadvantage in that of course.

The best way to get a partner is to find someone that you can get along with. When you play any partners' sport, getting along with your partner is the most important part of a lasting partnership. Both of you will improve as long as both of you actually like PvPing, especially when "improvement" for you goes from being able to make kills in a BG full of players to "tank" for you to being able to dominate another player 1v1 (or 1v2 as you get better).
When it comes to improving, you want a partner who WANTS to be better. PvP in WoW is just like in any other game. I find FPS games to be the most natural example to explain this (for most of us). The best players are the ones that
practice a lot
,
plan ahead
,
learn to predict their opponent's next move
, and
react to their opponent's actions
. That means that both of you have to
PAY ATTENTION
to what your opponents are doing in response to what you are doing. This isn't PvE where a timer determines when you have to dodge an attack. You can't just learn how to beat a pally and expect it to always apply (maybe pallies are a bad example, lol... predictable bastards).

It's not that hard especially as healer
First get some gear, do bg for 1-2weeks and during those weeks, just spam in trade for a partner in arena to get to the conquest cap. rating doesn' matter and eventually you'll get the 5-6wins you need to cap yourself. If player sucks or it just doesn't click, stop after you reach cap, if it clicks and he's any good just play some more and perhaps you found your partner already for next step
buy gear make sure to have at least a (2min) pvp trinket and 2pieces from the honour pvp set. the pieces you don't have just buy em of AH(the blue pvp set).
TIP: learn the very basics here, juking(fake casting so you don't get locked out of your heals), which heals work and which not (very long casts just don't work unless you los opponents), CC (hammer to assist on kill or get your partner out of trouble) and basic positioning (you don't stand in middle in los of everyone but close to an object so you can los when you're not healing your partner or need to heal yourself)
Now find a warrior, dk or feral druid to do 2v2 pretty easy to get 1.8k rating with one of those as holy paladin. (make sure they don't have to bad gear themself, someone in full greens won't get to 1.8k no matter how skilled he is, however don't require full epic as you won't find anyone) if you can't find one of those perhaps a affliction lock might work aswell or "anything" else, but it will be harder. If you can't get it with this partner at least get to 1550 for the achievement, as it stands with arena for the moment you can get that by being braindead as you hardly lose any rating before that and even after it. And just get a new, ask for his 1550 achievement aswell so you get 1.8k eventually.
TIP: be the teamleader so you can kick and don't have to start from scratch again, saves time.
TIP: voice communication, chatting is to slow, not say anything to eachother is just bad.
Now it's time to find a pvp guild, most require 2.2k at the moment, but either find one that is only 1.8k or persuade the 2.2k to take you, usually they are a bit easier on healers, especially if you are newer to scene and can convince em you're serious on getting better. try not to join pvp guilds that don't require rating as they usually are just badies. (you should be here at the one month mark, unless you play very little)
Just chat it up in guild, do battlegrounds with guild, do skirmish arena basicly get to now ppl.
Try find a better arena partner then the one you playing with (the one from the previous paragraph, ofc if he's good you might aswell continue with him) however don't always blame your partner if things don't go as fast as expected and get better yourself and let your partner get better aswell, just recognise the point when your partner has reached his max and you're sure you are better and can go further. swapping to much will get you in a position that no one wants to play with you anymore.
Also this is the time to start 3v3 and 5v5 if this is what you want to do.
Get better and get to 2.2k rating, this step may take some time but i guess not more then one arena season, depending on how hard your comp is
By now you have the experience, achiements and hopefully a friendlist so you can start the next season with a good team and aim higher who knows gladiator eventually.
last but most important,
DO NOT EVER RAGE
, once you're known as a rager you won't find partners unless you're extraordinary skilled
ps obviously if you know someone play with him, but i guess you posted here because you don't know anyone.
