At 63, I wouldn't PvP, some will. In all likelihood you will get eaten alive in your bracket (60-69).
Looks like somebody isn't using up to date information! BG brackets are now divided by groups of FIVE levels, so his bracket would be 60-64. He is actually at the TOP end of his bg braket right now!

Have fun explaining to every random group you join what the Glyph of Fear does.

people suck. don't let that stop you being good at the game.
GoFear is far too good to pass up because people don't know about it yet.

Guess my server is just full of uninformed tanks. If I tell people to mark anything they want feared with a Star they tell me not to fear anything cause I'll pull other groups ^_^ I'd be more worried about tanks asking if you have glyph of fear though...That means he has run into somebody who doesn't...

Biggest tips I can offer?
Remember your CC.
A smart combination of Death Coil, followed by a Glyphed Fear can put the mob just outside of that consecration the silly pally laid on the floor.
Don't forget that you have Banish, which can become extremely useful in certain situations.
And don't forget about your Succy either. Seduction means in some fights, you can have 3 mobs under your control (I am looking at you Grim Batol/Vortex Pinnacle).
If you are destruction, Shadowfury is a talent that isn't recommended high enough. An AoE stun can on a pull gone wrong, can give just enough time to Fear/Banish/Seduce what you need too.
Cataclysm has given us the ability to be Masters of Crowd Control.
And we do some pretty neat damage too.
BG's now give experience, but leveling is MUCH faster.
Reputations have gotten a LOT better since Vanilla, and the rewards are worth it during the pre-raid gearing stage.

we always were.
back in BC i would banish a mob, seduce another then fear a third, swapping between CoR and CoS to pingpong the fear so as not to pull more. fear's viability when glyphed is a fantastic addition but nothing fundamental has changed.

Don't forget about Enslave Demon either. There's a few mobs in heroics you can use it on :0

I resent that remark, we had to sacrifice a succubus before the fight started D=

the only raid spec in vanilla was SM/ruin. it cast DoTs then SB spammed. it was pretty simple but not even close to sacrifice destro in tBC.
in all honesty i had fun playing destro in tBC but it got old fast and the changes made to locks in wrath were incredibly positive all round.
