Basic Info
Guild Name: Lightswitch Rave
Guild Leader: Rathix (Though I go by many names, there's no telling who I'll be on at any given time)
Faction: Horde
Realm (US/EU): US
Realm Type: PVP
Realm Timezone: Mountain Time, though all the members atm are at an Eastern time location.
Battlegroup: Reckoning
Now the fun part:
We're a tight-knit guild right now. It's just myself (the leader), and my girlfriend, and a few of our friends. We all got tired of the "hardcore" guilds that turned WoW into more of a job than a game, and while that play style may suit many, it doesn't suit us. We're all college students with part-time jobs that play at our leisure, though it does occupy a good chunk of our free time these days. We're looking for like-minded individuals who are willing to join us for some good times, and enjoy the game and each others' company. We plan on raiding once we have enough members, and we really want to get some guild heroic runs going once we have enough 85's that are geared and ready.
We're all relatively laid back. We joke around a lot, and we hardly take WoW too seriously, though we all really want to see most, if not all, end game content someday. We're not over-achievers, we're not looking to be the realm first of anything, we're going at our own pace and having a good time, whether we're doing stuff on our 85's or questing on alts, we're in it to have fun.
The important stuff
We're not looking for whiny jerks. Like i said, we want to have fun. We're not looking for anyone that's in the guild so they can get runs on their alts, mooch off the bank, or just generally be a thorn in our collective sides. We don't want Mr. Serious, that guy who thinks he's the end all be all of <insert role/class> and without him, we can't survive. We can, and we will. We really just want level-headed people that are willing to be flexible with raid times and generally just want to have a good time doing whatever we may be doing.
We do use a vent, it's not ours, but we use it. It's from a previous guild I once belonged to, but I still talk to them on a regular basis, so using their vent is no biggie. If a problem should arise, it may be possible for myself or another member to invest in a server of our own.
Raid times will be erratic. Chances are we'll plan some in advance, but there will never be a set schedule. It'll be more-so the "Hey, a ton of people are on, let's get our raid on."
We have a full guild bank. 6 Tabs, fully purchased by myself and my lady friend. And when I say full, I mean full. I only purchased the 5th and 6th tabs because we were running out of room, and provided you prove to us you're not some leech after our jams and that you are genuinely interested in being an actual guildy, the bank vaults will be opened up to you and usable for whatever you may need. Bank abuse will not be tolerated though, we've worked hard collecting all that junk, we don't want to see it gone in a week, we expect contribution and replacement, keeping the guild bank full is a team effort.
We're intent on getting as many guild achievements as possible. We want the stupid pets, the mounts, the recipes. We're working on it all right now, but at this rate it'll take forever. We've just recently hit level 2 and gained the Fast Track perk, so we are extremely focused on reaping the rewards that being a functioning guild can yield.
I suppose that's all for now, I've painted a decent enough picture, I think. We don't have a website yet, I may or may not create one in the future if I really feel the need. For now, you can whisper just about anyone in the guild, just hop on Nathrezim and do a "/who Lightswitch Rave", anyone that's on can direct you to me, or give you whatever info you may need.
If I've peaked your interest, please don't hesitate to message us, we're really looking forward to expanding and forging a name for ourselves.
