I don't have a Holy Spec. But do have a few questions. 1) Was this at the same place on possible just 1 boss? 2) Was this a Cat. Dungeon or another? 3) Did problems happen after a bug fix or a nerf? 4) Can we get a toon link so we can see your current gear/spec?

Sampling size fail, I think. I don't have any undue trouble with bear tanks.

Tell us something we don't know. I dropped my druid tanks because I got owned big time in all dungeons. They get hit more than everyone else it seems. They have armor like the others, but only have dodge, which means they have far less avoidance. Savage Defense doesn't help as much as I personally would have hoped.

A poorly played Bear will have issues always. This goes for any tank spec.
I have run dungeons with bear driuds that know what they were doing and took very little damage the whole run. He had about 165k health and had very nice gear. SD works off of crit. So the better crit chance you have the better it will work.
The Mech. for all tank spec's have changed for all tank spec's/classes so it takes time to learn what to do and how to do it. But more times then other its dungeon groups that have to suffer. Look at H-HoR when it first came out.

True I suppose. I've seen Paladin tanks fare so bad I was facedesking through half of the dungeon. Funny, when I can faceroll anything on mine, without outgearing it. Even in the leveling process, things went extremely smooth. Even later, I was actually thinking "huh?" when I read they changed the quicksilver armor debuff our good friend in Blackrock Caverns need in order for you to damage him. Hard to tank? Wait, what? I was dumpfounded. Did anyone honestly find that encounter hard? It was even easier than Beauty, seriously >_> I'd rather fight him, than any other boss in there, and they nerf the easiest one of them all? rofl.
In my honest opinion, when H-HoR first launched, I didn't find it that hard. I was only tanking back then, and the only issue we ever had, was people running dry on mana. The flight from the Lick King were easy as hell, only the 2x5 round fights were a challenge. It doesn't take more than 1 try to figure out how to block LoS to pull everything close.
People seriously need to stop making trivial matters into big problems. Yeah, I suck at tanking with a druid, that is most likely the reason why I die so $%^&ing fast, which I why I stopped tanking with it. But since I've had the same issue with druid tanks when healing, and having yet to find even 1 good druid tank, I'm assuming Druids are just that much harder to tank with, compared to the others, which leads to my previous conclusion: Druid tanks just aren't as good as the rest.
This is pretty much the same to the whole DPS discussion. Feral Druids have a bad reputation for sucking big time in DPS. Their dps simply sucks so much that some people wont even bother with them. But in the other end of the specter, we find the few Ferals who can deal equal, or even better dps, than mages even. It's just that much harder to achieve good results compared to the rest, but it doesn't mean the class itself is lacking.

You know, it's funny. I just started levelling my second character to 85, and it happens to be my druid. Some of my friends just started levelling their other level 80 alts as well, so I decided I'd throw on a tanking spec and we'd do some dungeons. Now, considering my druid never stepped into any level 80 raid (he was only level 76 when Cata launched) and that he's only in levelling greens, I'm finding both my AoE and single target threat and DPS are both keeping up with my Paladin's who was in nearly full 25H ICC gear at the same level I currently am.
Druids, like the other tanking classes, really are not hard to play with. Single target, just keep Mangle on cooldown and stack Lacerate to 3 and Pulverize for the crit buff. AoE, just keep Swipe and Thrash on cooldown while Mauling as much as possible and spreading out the Mangle love.
Edit: Biggest misconception is that because Bears only have dodge, they have less avoidance than other tanks: this is not the case. They have roughly the same avoidance as any other tank, it's just all dodge instead of dodge/parry. They may be a few percentage points behind as DR kicks in harder and harder, but it's nothing game-breaking, especially considering how much more health a similarly geared bear will have over a plate tank.
