Just a theory...

Hello all!
I don't normally play a Warrior, but something just crossed my mind recently I can't forget.
I was thinking this: no Warrior uses daggers. They don't go well with the abilities as well as other attacks... or?
Or... what if a Fury (Single-Minded Fury) Warrior was to use daggers.
Think about it, with a much faster Rage build-up, dps may be improved.
Now this was just an idea I thought of... I was wondering if anyone could prove it one way or another.

I believe some warrior attacks require a certain non-dagger weapon in their main hand, or a two handed weapon. Basically, to do what you want at least one warrior talent tree would have to be completely revamped.

Take a look at how
normalization
affects special ability damage. Daggers deal significantly less damage on most warrior attacks.
Also, try searching for a dagger with strength:

Certain non-dagger? No. For revamping? I was thinking:

True about the no-strength daggers. But attack power+crit daggers exist (definitely better than agil).
Unfortunately, Wowhead only seems to have lv 80 (epic) Daggers so far with the stats. I'm sure in time others will come onto the sight.

As for normalization, well, you got me there. But how much would it actually impact?

0.7/2.4 ~= 30%
0.7 attack speed difference between daggers and other 1h weapons,
Speed*AP/14 + base weapon damage
Base Weapon damage = Speed*DPS
Slow dagger = 1.8, slow 1h = 2.6, difference = 0.8
difference:
(2.4-1.7)*AP/14 + (2.6-1.8)*DPS
0.7*AP/14 + 0.8*DPS
Assuming 10000 AP and 230 DPS that's 685 damage loss per ability before ability modifiers and damage modifiers, which makes it easily over a thousand.

Ouch. No clue why Blizz lets Warriors use daggers then. Guess its a lore-ish thing then.

It's just a class feature. Warriors can use all physical weapons and all armor types.
