My almost-two-year-old crashed before he even finished his last gift unwrapping. Poor guy is passed out in bed now. Was a great day though.
Happy Christmas and merry holidays to everyone. :D

Did you get him something too exciting for Christmas?
Side note: I did not know that you are not American. I thought svirve was our only Euro for some reason.

If you're talking to me, nah, I'm an Ohio American. :P I mean he's crashed napping, lol, not in bed for the night. We were out last night til past midnight at his grandma's cause I had to work, then we got him up super early. XD
EDIT: Also love the video. XD

Happy Christmas? From an American?

Likewise, I thought that svirve was our only Euro, but I didn't see anything in this thread to suggest that anyone else is....
It's been a highly strange one for me this year, I had to host a friend who ran away from home on Christmas Day, of all days. But you know, that's life - we do what we can to help out others who aren't as lucky.
Merry Christmas everybody.
Happy Christmas
Happy Christmas? From an American?
I never understood 'happy holidays'. You don't say that for any other public holiday. If you're religious, it's Christmas. If you're not religious, you celebrate the reason you get a holiday, because the religious people consider it Christmas. Either way, to me, it's still Christmas. Otherwise, Thanksgiving is 'happy holidays', Independence Day (or any other national 'national day') is 'happy holidays', Easter is 'happy holidays', etc.

My incredulity was not over the 'Happy' in the sense of it being un-Amurrken, rather that Americans say Merry Christmas and Brits say Happy Christmas. That's what I thought gave him away as British, but apparently not.

Ah, I see. I associate 'Happy Holidays' with overly PC Americans, so I just assumed that it's also the Americans who say 'Happy Christmas'.
I thought 'Merry Christmas' was the more universal, generic one though, a lot of Europeans use it. At the very least, the Sweedes in my office at work do, although it could just be that they've integrated well into our Aussie society.

Nah, I just like being a unique snowflake. :3
EDIT: This, apparently, was my 1,000th post. Quite appropriate, I think. :D

You guys are all nuts. It's all about the Mappy Cholidays and Herry Hristmases. Honestly. It's obvious that Canadians are the only ones who have this right.

Merry New Year!
Happy New Year. In this country we say Happy New Year.
Ah hahahahaha. Thank you for correcting my English which stinks!
I thought it was appropriate. Hopefully someone knows where that comes from.
