This is what I came up with for Arcane PvE.

I'm new to being a mage (currently 22), and instead of just asking for a build someone else made, I decided to make my own and ask what other more experienced mages thought about it. So what do you think about it?

Poly glyph is purely pvp - blink is imo better
On this point there is disagreement, on both actually.
Poly glyph can be quite useful, especially in heroics, in case warlocks get DoT happy, or one of the myriad of tanking effects gets there first.
Extending Blink's range is only so useful, aiming right with even the shorter version is all you really need to do, and many speak of overshooting the target when this glyph is inscribed.
But that's my two cents.
Not to mention that the talent trees are built to accept a little extra flavor (read: pvp talents) just to get enough points to progress.
Wonsorg March.... totally thought captcha was asking me to write Warsong for a second.

If you're playing as Arcane, you obviously don't care too much about your damage. So things like the Poly talent are probably really useful, what with the heavy reliance on CC.

I play as Arcane because I do MORE damage then the other 2 specs. There have been few times that someone has done more Damage/DPS then me on a fight while playing as arcane. Like many others though, idk how it fairs in raids.

Some friends told me to try fire and I did and love it. Disregard this thread.

For PvE I would choose
http://www.wowhead.com/talent#ohIrMR0RrRRof0oZc:q0VaM0oVm
Imp Poly isn't needed imo, when you think about Boss fights mainly. Instead, I took Master of Elements, Burning Soul and Fire Power from Fire tree. Dropping Blink "spring" and instant Invisibility and as said above, imp poly.
For Fire PvE I would choose

Don't ask me why, this is mainly what I would choose for myself, (+ glyphs)

Why take Fire power when you're Arcane?
Why take Improved Fireblast when you skipped Impact?

Just because you do more damage as Arcane than Fire does not mean Arcane is better than Fire. Also comparing your damage to other people doesn't mean your damage is good or the best it can be.
It took me a bit to switch from Arcane to Fire, but now that I have, I do much more DPS.
Really? So me doing more damage as one spec means it is worse then the one I do less damage in? Wow I never knew that.
So who should I compare damage with then? My Mirror Images? Cuz they got some good DPS numbers going on. Again, if my DPS is higher then the other DPSers in the group, it means mine sucks? I also didn't know that.
For my damage to be the best it can be, I'll have to get more crit for fire for the procs. I just respeced back to fire from arcane and guess what, I'm still doing less DPS. Also having to get hit up to a reasonable number makes getting more crit a bit complicated.
I understand that EJ has theroycrafted that fire is way better then arcane, but until I have raided on my own I will be the judge of what is best.

Judges have to be voted for, and with that condescending attitude, i doubt you'll get many votes.
You do realize I was talking in terms of what is best for me?
