Yes i believe WoG does get better with int, but like Rakkam - I find your logic lacking all logic so to speak - if you were to stack SP gear on a prot pal, you might be able to heal alot more with WoG, but you would at the same time be gimping your own survivability into the ground, not even considering that your dmg would be a joke - thinking outside the box is good (allthough rarely very effective when talking about classes) but what you do is so far away from the box its allmost sad...
feel free to try - but I am fairly sure you will end up beeing a complete joke, both in healing, survivability, and dmg...

I'd almost bet a properly geared Prot Paladin will have more healing through WoG than an Int geared Prot Paladin. Even if not, as everyone else has pointed out, you wouldn't get far. It'd be akin to a Ret Paladin doing the same thing.

Item budgets are such that if you are Prot and wearing Int on any Plate you are hurting yourself. On secondary slots a Prot Paladin has more leeway but it seems iffy to use a Relic that has Int-Mastery than something more appropriate.

From my understanding they made caster weapons do such abysmal damage to try and keep enhancement shamans from utilizing two caster weapons in order to beef up their prowess with their magic attacks. I imagine that with that being the case, it would effect paladins in a similar way. Having a buffed WoG is all fine and nice, but when your HotR hits like a limp noodle, you probably won't have to be using that healing on yourself.

I found some humor in it.

The implied question isn't so much whether a Prot Paladin stacking Int > a conventional Prot Paladin, but whether you can run as a Prot Healer for PvP, as in the past.

The problem lies in how you would generate Holy Power. If you chose to go down the Prot tree, your only source of Holy Power generation would be through CS/HotR and PoJ (if you spec'd into it). You wouldn't have any heal to generate Holy Power for you, so even if WoG heals for more, it wouldn't matter because your other heals aren't as strong and because you're lacking massively essential PvP talents.
