I usually play a tank or a healer so I am lost with ret in dungeons.
But I want to ask those who know what are our utility skills/spells and what are there real uses?
Hand of Protection-helps but its usually a healer that has a caster mob in the back knocking him around. So this does no good only physical.
We can't bubble others so thats out.
What do we have for more utility?
Righteous Defense- never used this but got a mail from a friend saying use it.
Will it pull mobs, even ranged off others?

You should still have Divine Protection ready to use as well as other players with similar abilities. It doesn't modify your DPS performance, resets pretty quickly and helps your healer out. Rebuke is also handy where you shouldn't count on the tank or DPS to interrupt a channel cast effect. And heal yourself when things get dire.
In general, all Paladins need to use Avenging Wrath and Guardian of Ancient Kings a little more freely more often especially when talented. The old "Wrath" idea of saving these personal cool downs for an emergency "burn down the target" isn't so valuable any more.

thanks everyone this is what I needed.
I seem to be the one looking out for weird stuff and filling in with healing, grabbing ads and things like that. Yep I die some but I am more of a utility do all than a pure dps.
Have more fun like this but its only for guild stuff since a pug would kick me

Because your talking about dungeons. Sometimes you can switch out a Ret glyph your using for
Glyph of Salvation
. Set up your Grid for a Clique or mouse over macro, and you now have an instant
fade
for anyone in your party.
This is a great way to help out, while not pissing the tank of because you can taunt faster than he can =P
Cheers,
Hat

Just bear in mind the key difference between a taunt and a threat wipe. The tank taunting causes the mob to attack the tank. A threat reset like Glyphed Hand of Salvation or Fade merely stops the mob from attacking that target. Because of this difference, you should also be aware of who is the next person on the threat list of that mob. If you use it on a DPS (like a leather or cloth DPS) and, for some reason the next person in threat is the healer, then you've just sent that mob after the healer.

Varaconn is 100% right on this. Its good to use longer fights where the DPS pulls 1 mob off the tank. On shorter fights, let the DPS learn their mistake of pulling something before the tank, and save the Salv for use only on the healer. Adds on a DPS that can run away, is much better than adds on a healer than can't heal while trying to save his own life.
